Every person has, at one time or another, been hurt by someone.
We have all experienced disappointment from people that we have loved and trusted. Many of us have been betrayed by close friends or even family members.
What we do with our feelings, after these things have happened to us, will determine our personal happiness in the future.
The way that the world handles offenses, is to get even. To make known to as many people as possible, the things that someone has done to us. Many people will tell you that they cannot gain any closure, after they are hurt, until the person who caused the injury has been punished.
In reality, none of these things work to alleviate our pain and suffering. Continue reading “The Key to Overcoming Anger and Bitterness: Random Acts of Kindness”
The world is full of self help books on how to overcome depression, anxiety and despair. According to most publications that are available today, these afflictions are caused by physical and psychological problems that originate in chemical imbalances and physiological abnormalities. According to the One who created us, the reason for these difficulties are not physical, they are spiritual.
Our hearts and minds are the methods by which we are able to think, feel, and express our feelings. When the mind is in conflict due to unresolved issues, the heart responds with sadness and despair. One of the greatest causes of depression in human life is unresolved guilt. When we say or do things that we know are not correct, we build up a debt of remorse in our mind. If we have had terrible things said or done to us by other people, and the feelings that flow out from these traumas, are unresolved, a sense of guilt also ensues. Guilt is not necessarily caused by our own actions, they can also accumulate when unjust actions are committed against us. Over time, this mounting guilt builds until we can no longer cope with the burden. We begin to feel hopeless, helpless, and are filled with sadness and despair.
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25 Continue reading “The Key to Overcoming Depression, Anxiety, Suffering, and Despair: Remember”
Does God need us to defend Him? The Bible describes the early followers of Jesus as men who “earnestly contended for the faith (Jude 3).”
In recent years, there have been many people who are offended by many things. A person can hardly say anything at all without offending someone, somewhere. The term: “Politically Correct” has been used to define what we can say, within the boundaries of acceptable language. In any instance where a person, news agency, or other organization, feels that your language fits their definition for incorrect language, your words may be censored.
Censor: “an official who examines material that is about to be released, such as books, movies, news, and art, and suppresses any parts that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.“
Politically Correct: “exhibiting (or failing to exhibit) political correctness: it is not politically correct to laugh at speech impediments.“ Continue reading “If Your God Needs You To Defend Him, He Is Not God”
In the United States, the right of free speech is protected by the first amendment to the Constitution. This is, of course, unless you are a Christian. Try to post a Christian perspective on ABC News, CBS News, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, and other news agencies and see what happens.
Over the past several years, I have attempted to post a Biblical/Christian perspective on the online news organizations and every one was deleted, except Fox News. I made my comments in a respectful, intellectual, and informative manner. I did not disparage any other religion, person, or company. I simply answered the way that someone who believes in God would answer. I was told that my comments did not meet the requirements set by the particular news company. The reason: It was a comment by an Evangelical Christian.
I have several web sites and I often receive very disturbing and controversial replies to the articles that I post. I never delete any comment. I give my readers the freedom to express themselves in any way that they want, without censure or deletion. It is my opinion that allowing everyone to say what they want to say, gives us a wider view of the mindset of a greater number of people. As chapter six of the book of Revelation begins, we see Jesus take a scroll from the right hand of the Father, who is sitting on the throne of God in heaven. All contracts in ancient Israel which deal with titles for property, had a clause for the redemption of that property. Upon its redemption, the seals of the contract are are broken one at a time and the one who is coming to redeem the land, will fulfill each of the terms that are specified. In regard to the earth and her redemption, there are twenty-one judgements that will take place. Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets, Seven Bowls. Each of these successive judgments becomes more severe than the one previous.
By His death and resurrection, Jesus has already meant all of the terms of redemption for the earth, In the sixth chapter of the book of Revelation, Jesus opens each of the seven seals and allows the particular events that are described to take place. Current tensions in Israel over the Temple Mount that began on September 13, 2015, during the Feast of Rosh Hashanah, may be a precursor to the rebuilding of the third Temple at that location.
In order for the prophecy of Daniel’s 70th week to be fulfilled, this Temple must be built in the first three years of the seven year Tribulation Period. For a long time it has been a mystery how this could be possible, given that Arab leaders would seemingly never permit such an event.

Residing on the Temple Mount today is the holy Muslim site of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Just north of the Mosque, also called “The Dome of the Rock,” is an area that is the precise location of the second temple that was destroyed by Titus in 70 A.D., in direct fulfillment of Jesus prophecy that “not one stone shall be left upon another.” This will be the location of the Third Temple. How current events in the Middle East, may lead to an attack on Israel by Russia in the near future.
The issue of who has the right to inhabit the land of Palestine is a primary point of contention amongst Jews and Arabs in the world today. Both cultures and people have occupied this land over several hundred years, both have deep roots in their ancestry to Palestine.
First, to establish a correct basis for this discussion, it is important to look at the true origin of all things on this planet. Man has lived upon the earth for such a great deal of time that he has now become accustomed to the idea that ownership or rights of possession can be conveyed to certain people.
By virtue of its creation, the earth is the property of the LORD, and not men. As God created the universe and made this planet habitable for us, it is His. He has given this planet to all people; to use, to enjoy, to care for, and to share. We should understand that none of us owns the things that we possess; they are simply loaned to us while we are alive. Continue reading “The Land of Palestine: Who Does it Really Belong To?”
Concerning the return of Jesus to the earth, here is what we know for certain: He came before, He promised to come again.
History is replete with many myths. There is no shortage of colorful people who have made grandiose claims over the years of recorded history. There are many critics of the Bible today who claim that Jesus is a fictitious person who never existed. When we examine the actual facts of antiquity, we find that Jesus not only existed and is a genuine person, history has left us a tremendous amount of proof for His existence. The detailed records of the Roman Senate, as well as the Jewish Talmud, both contain specific references to Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate. These records are not complimentary nor sympathetic parties, but adversarial and hostile witnesses who describe Him as a false prophet, disrupter of the peace, and the cause of great uprising in Palestine during that period of history. The Romans and the Jews had no desire to preserve any record of Jesus life or death, yet this is precisely what they accomplished by their antagonistic comments in their preserved documents.
The records of the Romans and the Jews, both reveal that Jesus was in Palestine during the same time period of time that the New Testament narrative also places Him there.
There is no mistake, Jesus is a real person of history and He was in Israel in 32 A.D.
Near the end of His ministry, Jesus promised His followers that He would come again when everything was ready. There were many events of world history that needed to take place first, before He could return. When theses things were completed, He said that He would come again.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. —John 14:2-3
Part of the problem in our understanding of the correct timing for Jesus return, has to do with our lack of information regarding the specifics of the Rapture. We simply do not know how much time will take place between the promise of Jesus arrival for His church in 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, and the fulfillment of that promise. This is a common difficulty in interpreting all of the major prophecies of the Bible. Continue reading “Jesus Said He Would Come Again: Signs of His Return”
The Atheists asks the question, “Who created God?,” assuming that His existence necessitated a cause.
This is a fundamental error that atheists make in their inability to perceive God. They imagine that God must be created. Those who do believe in God, do not believe in a God who came into existence at some point in time. In this manner, Christians also do not believe in the kind of God that the atheists do not believe in.
The fallacy of insisting that God must have a creator Himself, runs an illogical circle of never-ending god’s who were each made by a god before them. In order for one who is truly God to exist, He must be singular and uncreated.
Let us consider this premise: The term “God,” is defined as a Being who is perfect in every regard. Any being who is not perfect would not be God, with a big “G,” he would simply be one god amongst many god’s, little “g.”
Since there can only be one God (big G), this first premise requires that He must be perfect in every regard, incapable of error or wrongful actions. If God were able to commit error, He would not be perfect, and therefore he could not be God. Continue reading “Who Created God?”
With all of the wonders of science and astronomy today, no person can tell us how the universe came into being from nothing. Many theories are conjectured and put forth regarding the existence of the “multiverse,” while no evidence for any other universes actually exists. Since we cannot see beyond our present cosmological structure, it is impossible to state categorically that many others certainly exist. The entire purpose for introducing the multiverse theory was to camouflage the obvious truth that our universe exists by design. Until scientists are able to prove by scientific methods that there are trillions of other universes, in addition to our own, we must—as intelligent men and women, deny this mystical materialistic answer for our existence.
The theory of Occam’s Razor defines the simplest and most obvious answer as the often correct conclusion. No person views a one-hundred and four story skyscraper and questions how it came into existence. It is understood that a mind conceived this building. Engineers designed its structure. Builders assembled the components that were required to erect this great edifice. Anyone who would state that the Freedom Tower in New York City came into existence on its own, would be ignored or laughed to scorn. The obvious conclusion is that someone made it.
