122: Psalms 72:12-16
365 Prophecies: Prophecy 122
In the future kingdom of the Messiah, He shall care for and bless all the people of the earth, as they live in abundance, and prosper.
Old Testament Prediction:
Psalms 72:12-16 “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper. He will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy. He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; And precious shall be their blood in His sight. And He shall live; And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him; Prayer also will be made for Him continually, And daily He shall be praised. There will be an abundance of grain in the earth, On the top of the mountains; Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon; And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.”
New Testament Fulfillment:
Revelation 21:1-5 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
During the future one thousand-year reign of the Messiah, the curse—which has been upon the earth for the previous six thousand years, will be removed.
Imagine an earth where death no longer exists. Sickness and disease will cease to plague mankind. There will be no war, cruelty, crime, or selfishness. All those who live during this period of time will share in the great bounty of the Lord. He will provide every need for all those who live under His care, and no one will ever hunger or be without a home again.
Provided, the nations come once a year to worship the Lord at Jerusalem, their harvests will be successful; and they will prosper on the earth.
Zechariah 14:16-17 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.
The Lord’s kingdom will be established first and above all other governments and rulers on the earth. Presidents, kings, and rulers will take their direction and law from Jesus. All final judgement will be the Lord’s alone. All the implements of war, which were formerly used to kill, will be recycled into instruments of blessing.
Prophecy 158: Isaiah 2:2-4 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
The people of the earth will come to Jerusalem to learn and be taught by the Lord. No one shall ever be afraid again. Each person and every family will have their own dwelling place, with abundant fruit and provision.
Prophecy 320: Micah 4:1-8 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the LORD our God Forever and ever. “In that day,” says the LORD, “I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast And those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcast a strong nation; So the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on, even forever. And you, O tower of the flock, The stronghold of the daughter of Zion, To you shall it come, Even the former dominion shall come, The kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.”
The rule of the Messiah will be absolute and without opposition: a rod of iron. His rulership and authority will be sovereign and absolute with no appeal, for He is the highest authority in the universe.
Prophecy 65: Psalms 2:9-12 “You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
As a result of Jesus’ righteous authority, which is fair and equitable for all people, the citizens who live under His care during this one thousand-year reign will enjoy the fulfillment of Prophecy 122, as they are blessed beyond imagination.
