Your Name Is Written In Heaven

Lambs Book of Life

When Jesus spoke to His disciples, He said that they should rejoice that there names were written in heaven.

…rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20

When we examine the original Greek language in which this verse was written, the verb that is used for “written,” carries with it the idea that these names were written in heaven from eternity. In other words, because God knows all things, He has always been aware of every person who would choose to follow Jesus and rely upon Him for their Salvation. These individuals have always been known to God and there names would remain in the book of life—forever.

There is also an indication that the “Book of Life,” contains that names of every person who will be born upon the earth. Their names will remain in this book, until the last day of their life. Upon their death, if they have rejected the command of God to believe upon Jesus for their Salvation, then and only then, will their name be blotted out of The Book of Life.”

The Bible As The Basis For All Human Laws

COPYRIGHT WARNING

As we examine human life, we discover that every culture, every country, all people, and nations, have laws which order and direct human activity. Laws are necessary because the basic nature of the human species is towards evil. We are inherently selfish and often seek to look out for our own interests first. Without laws, evil would run rampant over peaceful people who are doing their best to live good and productive lives.

What is the origin of human laws? Where did the framers of the Constitution of the United States find the laws that allow the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans?

The Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, and Romans, as well as, many other great an powerful nations of the ancient world, worshipped many different gods. Not one before, ever possessed the laws that were given to the nation that originated from Abraham. When God gave Moses His law on Mount Sinai, these basic ten commandments changed, forever, the course of all human activity. No other nation in the history of the world had the code of moral laws, like those which governed the people of Israel. Every great nation since that time, has fashioned their own laws, from these basic ten laws that Moses received from God. Continue reading “The Bible As The Basis For All Human Laws”

The Rapture, the Tribulation, Heaven, Rewards, and God’s Final Judgment

COPYRIGHT WARNING

The world is quickly moving towards the period of History for which the Book of Revelation, Daniel, and the prophecies of Jesus in Matthew 24, were written about. The world as we know it will suddenly and violently be changed–in an instant.  Isaiah the Hebrew prophet, wrote more than 2,700 years ago, that when these events begin, an event of profound magnitude will signal the beginning of the end. Isaiah used the figurative language of a woman who is in labor to signal the birth pains of earth as she is about to bring forth the final judgments of God.

Isaiah 26:17-20 As a woman with child Is in pain and cries out in her pangs, When she draws near the time of her delivery, So have we been in Your sight, O LORD. We have been with child, we have been in pain; We have, as it were, brought forth wind; We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth, Nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen. Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.

The dead shall live and arise, others will be hidden in a secret chamber by God–until the time of His indignation and wrath have been completed. The language of Isaiah is clear: these are the events of the Rapture and the seven year Tribulation period in which two-thirds of the people of earth will perish by 21 judgements of God.

Jesus used the same figurative language of Isaiah in John chapter 16, to inform us of the timing for Isaiah’s prophecy. At the end of the present age, when God has determined to bring His judgement, the time immediately preceding this judgment will signal its commencement by “birth pangs.” Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4, described this beginning of judgment–by the Lord’s removal of His church from the earth, in the event commonly referred to as: The Rapture.

John 16:19-21 Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, “Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’? Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Both Isaiah 26:17-20 and John 16:10-21 speak of a woman who is in labor, in context with the return of the Lord during the last days. As a woman nears the hour of her child’s birth, her contractions grow closer and closer together. Suddenly, the baby is born and a new life has come into the world. In the last days, the labor and distress of the world will grow steadily more severe like the birth pains of a woman ready to give birth until suddenly, Jesus will remove His church from the earth, as described in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4. The Messiah’s Love and Righteous Judgement

COPYRIGHT WARNING

What would it be like to be truly loved? If someone could look into our heart and see who we truly are. To be known for the person we really are and all our words and actions understood for their true meaning. There is only one who has the ability and desire to know us in this way. He came from eternity and lived amongst us–so that we might know this great love.

One of the basic precepts of the Messiah’s kingdom is His righteous judgement. He is coming to make right all of the unjust governments of men and rule the world with absolute rectitude. He will not judge in the way that men judge—through bias with ulterior motives. The judgement of the Messiah will be based on the truth without regard to the opinions of men. The Book of 1 Samuel details how God judges the affairs of men, looking into the heart of the man, to see what his true motives and purposes are.

1 Samuel 16:7 …For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.Continue reading “The Messiah’s Love and Righteous Judgement”
