After writing several books regarding the Messianic Prophecies which Jesus fulfilled in the New Testament scriptures, I am still amazed by those who assert that Jesus did not fulfill any of these predictions. One of the texts that is most profound in validating Jesus as the Messiah, is observed in the descriptions of the prophet Isaiah in chapters 52 and 53. This morning I was reading through these verses in The Living Bible and I was struck by their exact portrayal of the actual events that took place in Jesus’ life.
It is impossible to discount the fact that Isaiah wrote these texts more than 700 years before Jesus was born. In fact, all of the scholarly Rabbi’s in Israel attributed the text of Isaiah 53 to the Messiah up until the 12th century. It was at that time that a change occurred where these men began to assert that Isaiah was describing the nation of Israel, not the Messiah. This becomes tenuous when we consider that verse 8 describes the Servant dying for the sins of Israel. If we insert Israel into this verse we have Israel dying for the sins of Israel. This is further illustrated by the following verse (9) that would require Israel would be innocent of sin and therefor suffering unjustly.
There is an organization called: S.E.T.I., “Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence,” a group, located in Berkley California, who are dedicated to probing the Universe for signs of intelligent life.
On the night of August 15, 1977, at the Ohio State University “Big Ear” Radio Telescope Observatory, Jerry Ehman was searching the skies for an alien signal. The observations he made on that night were recorded on a printout that has been preserved until today. Continue reading “Palm Sunday: The Arrival of the Messiah”→
For many years, Christians and Jews have lived together as friends with a common heritage. We both worship the same God, but have a difference of opinion regarding the Messiah. This has not stopped our love or friendship for each other, nor prevented a respectful and healthy dialogue. Continue reading “Breaking Israel News Website: Readers Beware”→

If you are a Christian, you were born extremely rich. The day that you first trusted in Jesus as your Savior, you began a new life as the son or daughter of the Greatest King who has ever lived. Possessing great riches is not enough to live a truly satisfying and purposeful life. We must also gain knowledge and wisdom; to know how to live. In order to fully understand the riches that are ours, we must read the bankbook and discover what God has deposited into our account because of what Jesus has accomplished for us.
Many years ago, one of the world’s richest men, discovered a list of priceless items that he wanted for his collection. He dispatched his trusted employee to travel the world until he found these items and bring them back to his home. After a long and exhausting search, the items were discovered—all in the same location. The employee returned to his boss and reported: “Everyone of these treasures that you were seeking, are already yours. They have been in your warehouse for quite some time.”
In Christ, everything that we are searching for in our life, is already ours…
One of the many treasures that we possess, is the certain knowledge of God’s power and ability to order and bless our lives. There is no greater place to learn about the Lord’s capacity to direct our lives, than seeing this capability demonstrated by the fulfillment of His prophetic word. Many people misunderstand the purpose of these prophecies of the Bible as an attempt to predict the future. This was not the intended purpose of God’s prophetic word. The Lord was desiring that every person might know Him and be able to trust in what He has promised us. How better to prove this ability than to speak about things that are yet to come; and fulfill His word, with extreme precision. In the past week, I have had the great privilege of discussing the coming of Jesus as the Messiah, with many, many people. The advent of a fourth blood moon during the month of September, 2015, has opened up a wonderful world of exchange between those who do not believe and those who do.
One of the best questions that I received, was from a Jew who does not believe that Jesus is the Messiah. His difficulty is with the text of Jeremiah 23:5-6, where the Messiah is described as a “King, who prospered.” Since Jesus did not reign as a King, and He did not prosper (was crucified), in the mind of this person, Jesus could not be the Messiah.
Is there verifiable evidence for the existence of God? Yes. In fact, the evidence is so substantial, so empirical, so undeniable, we can know for certain that God does exist.
When we consider any event from history as a valid occurrence, we must examine the evidence that those who were present during that time, said or wrote, concerning these events. We know that Abraham Lincoln is a genuine person from history, by the 20,000 documents that exist which authenticate his existence.
We know that World Wars one and two took place, because history has recorded these events.
One of the most stunning proofs for the Bible as the word of God, is its incredible ability to predict world events, hundreds of years before they took place. Critics of the Bible, as well as the atheist who claims that there is no proof for the existence of God, often repudiate Bible prophecy and claim that the Bible does not predict any future event.
Crucifixion is described as one of the most horrific ways to put a man to death. Reserved for only the worst of criminals, what had Jesus done that warranted such vicious treatment?
As we read the accounts of His life in the four gospels, we see a man who is full of love and compassion. Every sick person who came to Jesus—He healed. Every hurting man or woman, Jesus loved and encouraged. Every lost sinner who came to Him in sorrow for their sins, Jesus forgave and bestowed a new life.
Jesus stood against injustice, religious hypocrisy, and pretentiousness by those who claim to know God. When the woman at the well sought to turn the discussion to religion, Jesus turned her back to a relationship with God.
Everything that Jesus did, was good, righteous, and Holy.
The testimony of those who had been with Him every day of His three and one-half year ministry, described Him as perfect and without sin (Prophecy 21). None of the people from Nazareth came to Jerusalem when Jesus proclaimed Himself as the Messiah and opposed Him on grounds that He was a sinful man. Every person who listened to Jesus and watched the way that He treated people was struck by His grace.
This was no ordinary man, this was no sinner, this was not a man who deserved to die by crucifixion.
