Do persons who assert that they were born with the wrong body and change their gender identity, have valid evidence to support their claims? Can a person be born as a man, yet they are really a woman at heart? (more…)

It is the greatest desire of man that he could live forever. There have been many books written, movies produced, and songs sung; that express our desire to live a life that would never end. When we think about the ceasing of our existence here on earth, it doesn’t make sense. How could we suddenly cease to exist? It is our sense of eternity and fear of death, that haunts us our entire life. The Bible states that God placed eternity within our heart when He made us, but none of us understands How to achieve it.
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
If there was a fee that could be paid in order to gain access to eternal life, it is certain that many wold endeavor to pay it. The reason that people explore religion in the first place is to understand what happens at the moment of death and seek to know if they will go on living after their body dies.
Amongst all religions of the world, there is a common thread: The fact that eternal life can be achieved, at a cost. Those who will acquire the right to live forever, must perform certain rituals, procedures, or follow a set of rules. Only the Bible reveals that eternal life is a free gift that cannot be purchased. God will give any person the right to live forever, without cost, if they will simply believe what He has said.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
The way to heaven is not by a religion, it is through a person. Jesus has already purchased our salvation by the giving of His life. All that we must do is believe this and receive His gift. (more…)

What was the reason that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? When we examine all of the scriptures of the Bible regarding these two cites, we see a picture that helps us understand why so many people lost their lives. Genesis 18 and 19 describes the sins of those who inhabited these cities as “very grave,” necessitating fire and brimstone from heaven. Jude wrote that the sin that is described in Genesis 18 was “sexual immorality,” and a people who had “gone after strange flesh.” Peter described the destruction of these cities as an example of the judgment that God will inflict upon those who live sexually immoral lives.

When we read the story of Nineveh, this city had also reached a similar place of evil that required the judgment of God. When Jonah walked through the city and informed the inhabitants that God would destroy their city in forty days, all of the people ceased from their sins and turned to God in repentance. No destruction came to Nineveh.
JONAH SPEAKING TO THE PEOPLE OF NINEVEH:
“Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them…Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it. Jonah 3:1-10
What we learn from these two examples is that God does not want to destroy the lives of human beings, He wants to save us from ourselves. It is not the will of God that evil should overtake our cities and destroy the beauty and serenity that is possible when people live together in peace.
As we examine who it was that determined that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah should be destroyed, we find that it was the pre incarnate Jesus in one of his many appearance in the Old Testament, who issued the order. As we examine the text of Genesis 17 and 18, we see that the LORD, and two angels had come to Abram and Sarai to announce that they would have a son, who would be the first in a long line of descendants that would bring the Messiah into the world. God was sending us a Savior, and this ninety-nine year old man and ninety year old woman would be the parents of the first descendant. Through this son, the entire world would be blessed. God was going to make a way that every person who has been born on the earth, could have all of their sins removed and obtain heaven as their eternal destiny.
It was while bringing this wonderful news to Abraham and Sarah, as they would later be known, that the LORD also determined to destroy two cites, whose inhabitants had digressed so far into sexual immorality that their continued existence would threaten the peace, and safety of every other city and people. This sin in Sodom and Gomorrah had existed for a very long time, with no repentance or desire to cease their immoral actions. When we examine the moments when God had determined that a nation should be destroyed for their unwillingness to turn from evil, we find that hundreds of years of forbearance were given to these nations by God. In the case of the Canaanites, God waited nearly 900 years before the order came for judgement. (more…)

Those who view gay marriage as a right, often misuse Bible verses for their assertions. The basis for their argument is that certain strange moral behaviors are endorsed by God and the Bible, therefore, no Christian should have any problem with gay marriage.
The following chart illustrates the lack of knowledge that many atheists, critics of the Bible and the LGBT community have, regarding what the Bible teaches:

With the recent Supreme Court ruling that permits gay marriage in all 50 states, the LGBT community has adopted a new slogan: “Love Wins.”
Long before the United States acquiesced to gay rights, the followers of Jesus used this phrase to describe the victory that Jesus accomplished upon the cross. When Jesus died, He forever set free; all those who would place their eternal salvation in His hands. (more…)

Over the course of 40 years, I have heard just about every excuse for why a person will not receive Jesus as their Savior. In all of the reasons that people give for their unwillingness, they all boil down to one source: A desire to live a certain life that they have chosen, without the interference of religion.
There are many who claim that there is no proof for the existence of God. This is perhaps the most preposterous excuse, considering the massive evidence that is available today to prove that God must exist. In these cases, those who make such assertions, do so from willing ignorance. While asserting that no proof exists for God, under investigation, we find that these persons have not done the necessary work themselves to determine whether or not God actually does exist. In an overwhelming majority, most people who make such claims, use the comments and quotes of other atheists, not their own personal research.
I have not met a single atheists who has taken an academic approach to their atheism by sincerely exploring all the facts which empirically prove that God must exist. The arguments that are frequently given are at best; insufficient, at worst; only taken from the words of other atheists. If you listen to persons who are incorrect in their hypothesis or conclusions, then your hypothesis and conclusions will also be incorrect. (more…)

As the Supreme Court of the United States has made gay marriage the law of the land in the United States, there will certainly be many who fight against the Christian stance in opposition to gay marriage.
Those who now have the right to marry, under law, should remember that the Constitution also gives Christians and others, the right to speak out freely, against gay marriage. (more…)

One of the stunning developments that has occurred in the United States during the past 60 years, is the movement of our citizens away from God and the Bible.
After decades of eroding morality and a rise in secular humanism, we no longer possess the faith of our forefathers. Beginning in the fifties, the Christian church ceased from teaching its members the principles of the Bible. This resulted in a nation of individuals who did not know what God has said, nor what He requires. This famine of God’s word produced an eroding national morality, and the acceptance of abhorrent lifestyles that were formerly considered illegal or perverse. Under the guise of equal rights, an onslaught of court cases, sought legal recourse to redefine marriage and what America considers normal in sexual relationships.
During this same period, Colleges and Universities began to teach evolution as the reason for all life, resulting in the exclusion of God from government and educational institutions.
As same-sex relationships became acceptable to the American people, the insistence for more rights, to a wider group of alternative lifestyle and gender identities, has also increased. In April of 2016, a 16 year old North Carolina student, who was born a female but identifies as a male, sued the Gloucester County School Board that had created a policy the prohibited any student from using a restroom that is contrary to their biological sex. On April 19, 2016, a federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, gave permission for this case to go forward as a sexual discrimination lawsuit against the school board. According to the federal court, the basis of the case is Title IX of the Federal law that prohibits sex discrimination at schools that receive federal funding.
We are seeing an ever increasing movement by the LGBT advocates to demand that every phase of American culture; government, churches, business, and education, accept every abhorrent demand that is made to accommodate their chosen lifestyles. This movement towards a national acceptance of gays and lesbians as normal and acceptable in every phase of American society, began in 1962 (more…)

There has been some confusion over the Old Testament book of Leviticus, regarding certain provisions in the law of God which calls for death in specific matters of personal conduct. Does the Bible require the death of an individaul who practices adultery, fornication, homosexuality, or lesbianism, today?
In any attempt at understanding the Bible, we should first look at:
- Who the particular text is addressed to?
- What is the context?
- When was it written?
We notice that Leviticus chapter 20 is written specifically to: “the children of Israel.” Therefore, we cannot take this verse and universally apply it to the Christian church today. Nor can we apply it to the world, who are not addressed by this command.
Leviticus 20:1-2 1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel:
This is not to say that God does not require all people to conduct themselves in purity in matters concerning their bodies. The Bible is very clear that God did not creates us for immorality, but instead to be a people of virtue. (more…)
