Good People Don’t Go To Heaven

COPYRIGHT WARNING

The Biblical principle of Righteousness defines all human beings as incapable of obtaining it. According to the Lord, if a person will be seen as Righteous, his righteousness must come from the Lord.

Psalms 14:3 They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

When a person places all of his trust in Jesus Christ, he exchanges his unrighteousness for all of Jesus’ Righteousness.

In Isaiah chapter 64, the prophet contrasts the righteousness of God with the righteousness of man.

Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You...

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags…

Isaiah 59:15-16 is one of those verses from the Old Testament that really gives us tremendous insight into the mind and heart of God. Looking from heaven at the plight of man, God sees what great suffering is taking place on the earth because of sin. From Adam onward, all men are born sinners with a tendency towards evil continually. The world which exists today has become a place of unimaginable evil, suffering, and death.
