Do persons who assert that they were born with the wrong body and change their gender identity, have valid evidence to support their claims? Can a person be born as a man, yet they are really a woman at heart? (more…)

For many years, Christians and Jews have lived together as friends with a common heritage. We both worship the same God, but have a difference of opinion regarding the Messiah. This has not stopped our love or friendship for each other, nor prevented a respectful and healthy dialogue.
This is until today, when I encountered a web site called: “Breaking Israel News.”
My first impressions of this web site was one of great excitement, as they discuss several of the current subjects that concern Israel, the rebuilding of the third Temple and the Messiah. I have recommended this site to several of my readers and used articles and quotes from Breaking Israel News.
Today I read an article regarding the prophecies of Daniel, chapter 9 and posted a comment regarding an extensive book that I wrote about this subject. The post was quickly deleted from Breaking Israel News. I wrote a second post and asked why I was not allowed to comment on this article as a Christian, using the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, this post was also immediately removed.
Christian readers of Breaking Israel News should be aware that the owners of this site have a strong prejudice against Christians and do not care, nor want you to make any comments on their site that might conflict with their opinions. They are afraid that the truth of God’s word might be known to their readers and that they might discover that Jesus is the True Messiah.
This is unfortunate in that Christians are already heavily prejudiced by the world, and now we find that our fellow Brother and Sister Jews, with which we share a deep and common heritage, also hate us and will not allow the expression of our opinions on certain web sites.
We pray that the hearts of the people who manage and own the Breaking Israel News web site will change their minds and permit an open, respectful, and thorough discussion of the many subjects that they write articles about.

The argument that there is no proof for the existence of God is irrational. In fact, there is no reasonable explanation for the universe or life itself, apart from God. The question that has been rightly asked is: “Why is there a universe at all?”
Since everything that exists has an explanation for its existence, there must also be a reason that the universe exists. Since all things that are temporal have a first cause and the universe came into being at some point, then the universe has a first cause. Since it is impossible for anything to cause itself, therefore, the universe is caused by a power that is transcendent of time and space. By the complexity, balance, and design of the universe, we perceive that all things in existence were caused by an infinite intelligence—an intelligence which is without limits and is perfect, knowing all things. Only a perfect and eternal being would have the capacity to create such a universe. I personally do not understand why it is so hard for people to accept that God exists and that He is the most logical explanation for the existence of the universe.
There are two types of things that exist.
Things that exist by necessity.
Things which are caused.
Mathematics exists by necessity. They are not caused to exist by anything else; they exist by their own by necessity.
The universe does not need to exist, it exists because it was caused. Nothing comes into existence apart from intelligence, therefore; God is the most logical cause of the universe, since it would require an infinite intelligence.
A Being which is eternal, such as God, does not require a cause.
The error of evolution is that it cannot explain how life began in the first place. Life was also, not necessary, it was caused. Since Human intelligence requires an equal or greater intelligence to bring us into being, the logical explanation is also God.
Could we imagine that the microprocessors that enable today’s computers to function, came about by random mutations or chance arrangements of atoms? How much more difficult would it be to evolve a human mind, which is exponentially greater in complexity to any microprocessor or sophisticated computer code?
How did God make the universe?
In the beginning there was nothing. The universe did not exist. There were no planets, no stars, not even empty space. Imagine all the matter that makes up the universe, tightly compressed into a particle that is nearly invisible. Scientists believe that it was from this tiny, densely compressed speck of material, that everything that we see today, originated.
At zero linear time, this speck of material exploded and expanded at hundreds of millions of miles per hour. This was an incomprehensible sphere of energy that was dense and compact beyond imagination. The temperature of the initial flash of energy was trillions of degrees. It was a mass of pure plasma expanding at the Speed of Light.
Everything that would exist in our present universe would come from this initial material; the planets, the stars, every living thing; even time and space itself—all things were created at that moment. (more…)

It is the greatest desire of man that he could live forever. There have been many books written, movies produced, and songs sung; that express our desire to live a life that would never end. When we think about the ceasing of our existence here on earth, it doesn’t make sense. How could we suddenly cease to exist? It is our sense of eternity and fear of death, that haunts us our entire life. The Bible states that God placed eternity within our heart when He made us, but none of us understands How to achieve it.
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
If there was a fee that could be paid in order to gain access to eternal life, it is certain that many wold endeavor to pay it. The reason that people explore religion in the first place is to understand what happens at the moment of death and seek to know if they will go on living after their body dies.
Amongst all religions of the world, there is a common thread: The fact that eternal life can be achieved, at a cost. Those who will acquire the right to live forever, must perform certain rituals, procedures, or follow a set of rules. Only the Bible reveals that eternal life is a free gift that cannot be purchased. God will give any person the right to live forever, without cost, if they will simply believe what He has said.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
The way to heaven is not by a religion, it is through a person. Jesus has already purchased our salvation by the giving of His life. All that we must do is believe this and receive His gift. (more…)

What was the reason that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? When we examine all of the scriptures of the Bible regarding these two cites, we see a picture that helps us understand why so many people lost their lives. Genesis 18 and 19 describes the sins of those who inhabited these cities as “very grave,” necessitating fire and brimstone from heaven. Jude wrote that the sin that is described in Genesis 18 was “sexual immorality,” and a people who had “gone after strange flesh.” Peter described the destruction of these cities as an example of the judgment that God will inflict upon those who live sexually immoral lives.

When we read the story of Nineveh, this city had also reached a similar place of evil that required the judgment of God. When Jonah walked through the city and informed the inhabitants that God would destroy their city in forty days, all of the people ceased from their sins and turned to God in repentance. No destruction came to Nineveh.
JONAH SPEAKING TO THE PEOPLE OF NINEVEH:
“Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them…Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it. Jonah 3:1-10
What we learn from these two examples is that God does not want to destroy the lives of human beings, He wants to save us from ourselves. It is not the will of God that evil should overtake our cities and destroy the beauty and serenity that is possible when people live together in peace.
As we examine who it was that determined that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah should be destroyed, we find that it was the pre incarnate Jesus in one of his many appearance in the Old Testament, who issued the order. As we examine the text of Genesis 17 and 18, we see that the LORD, and two angels had come to Abram and Sarai to announce that they would have a son, who would be the first in a long line of descendants that would bring the Messiah into the world. God was sending us a Savior, and this ninety-nine year old man and ninety year old woman would be the parents of the first descendant. Through this son, the entire world would be blessed. God was going to make a way that every person who has been born on the earth, could have all of their sins removed and obtain heaven as their eternal destiny.
It was while bringing this wonderful news to Abraham and Sarah, as they would later be known, that the LORD also determined to destroy two cites, whose inhabitants had digressed so far into sexual immorality that their continued existence would threaten the peace, and safety of every other city and people. This sin in Sodom and Gomorrah had existed for a very long time, with no repentance or desire to cease their immoral actions. When we examine the moments when God had determined that a nation should be destroyed for their unwillingness to turn from evil, we find that hundreds of years of forbearance were given to these nations by God. In the case of the Canaanites, God waited nearly 900 years before the order came for judgement. (more…)

The Bible describes God as knowing all things from eternity.
“Known to God from eternity are all His works. Acts 15:18
Imagine that you have existed forever and there is nothing that you do not know. Would you create a race of beings that you knew ahead of time, would rebel against you and necessitate the death of your Son to save them?
Before God created the universe, He determined that Jesus would die for the sins of the world. Jesus is called; “The Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.”
(Jesus) the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8
This means that before God created us, He already knew that we would all be separated from Him by our sins. He sent His Son into the world to be the one method by which He could save us all.
Because the Lord knew what would happen in advance, He was aware of those who would believe His command to receive Jesus and be saved. Based upon this advanced knowledge, God “chose” these individuals and predestined them to eternal life. (more…)

Each year at this time, I receive several questions about Halloween and the practice of dressing up as certain characters. People who Love the Lord wonder if participating in these traditional holidays is right. They ask men like myself, who are teachers of the Bible, if it is okay for them to allow their children to dress up and go trick or treating.
In every question that we have, regarding our behavior; it is what the Lord says that is important, not what I or any other person feels is right. The final authority for the Christian should always be what the word of God says.
In these matters, our primary question should always be: “Does it Please the Lord?”
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is pleasing to the Lord. Ephesians 5:10

In the United States, the right of free speech is protected by the first amendment to the Constitution. This is, of course, unless you are a Christian. Try to post a Christian perspective on ABC News, CBS News, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, and other news agencies and see what happens.
Over the past several years, I have attempted to post a Biblical/Christian perspective on the online news organizations and every one was deleted, except Fox News. I made my comments in a respectful, intellectual, and informative manner. I did not disparage any other religion, person, or company. I simply answered the way that someone who believes in God would answer. I was told that my comments did not meet the requirements set by the particular news company. The reason: It was a comment by an Evangelical Christian.
I have several web sites and I often receive very disturbing and controversial replies to the articles that I post. I never delete any comment. I give my readers the freedom to express themselves in any way that they want, without censure or deletion. It is my opinion that allowing everyone to say what they want to say, gives us a wider view of the mindset of a greater number of people. (more…)

Several years ago, I was watching a television show in which a man was seeking to illustrate how anyone; regardless of how evil they might have been, can go to heaven.
A young man who was having a hard time understanding the concept of a murderer going to heaven, asked a question:
“So you are saying that the Nazi soldier who gassed my grandmother at the German death camps under Hitler can be forgiven by God?”
The host told him, “yes of course. Anyone can be saved by the sacrifice that Jesus has made on the cross for all sins.”
“But what if my grandmother never received Jesus as her savior, what if she refused to accept his offer of salvation.”
The host continued: “Unfortunately, she would be lost forever.”
The young man, now quite angry, began to speak again: “Do you mean to say that a Nazi butcher who tortured my dear grandmother, then threw her into a furnace and burned her to death, can go to heaven; but my grandmother, who never hurt a sole, who never said an unkind word about anyone in her life, will go to hell, if she does not receive Jesus Christ?”
The host answered, “Yes that is precisely what the gospel of Jesus Christ says.”
The young man replied: “That is why I would never believe in the God that you believe in.” (more…)
