ISIS

In this article we will examine the true source of terrorism in the world today and who is really orchestrating the reign of death and chaos that has plagued our planet.

The Bible distinguishes the events of the last days from all other periods of human history. During this time, one group of people will bring the world to its knees by its reign of terror. Today, the greatest threat to peace in the world is the radical Islamic Terrorists of ISIS/ISIL.

The Bible reveals that the true leader of this mass horde of murderers is satan. If we compare the list of activities that the people of ISIS carry out all over the earth, their mission and manifesto are precisely the same as satan.

The devil has one mission on the earth: to seek out and destroy as many human lives as possible. Jesus said that those who murder and create terror on the earth are the son’s and daughters of the devil. The true family of God are those who pursue peace and seek to love people. We see this illustrated in the words of Jesus as He confronts the religious leaders of Israel. These men claimed that their religion ensured that they were the true followers of God. (more…)

Those Who Deny God, Cannot Understand Him

A human being is made up of three components; body, soul, and Spirit. When a person is born, the body is preeminent, it rules the life of the person. Whatever the body wants, it expresses through the desires of the flesh. The soul is the inhabitation of the emotions, where a person expresses their thoughts, feelings and emotions. The spirit, which is the only part of man that can know and understand God, is dead because of sin.[1]

When Jesus told Nicodemus, in John chapter 3, that “you must be “born again,” He was describing the spirit. In order for any person to understand God, or to comprehend His word, first his spirit must be born again, into a new relationship with God. Until our sins are dealt with and removed by God, it is impossible for us to have a relationship with God.[2]

Jesus death on the cross, paid for the sins of all people, for all time. All those who are willing to repent from their sins and come to Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins, are born again—into this new spiritual life.[3]

This is one of the preeminent differences between Biblical Christianity and religion. The religions of man ignore the spiritual side of man, regarding sin, repentance and the need to experience a new life in the spirit. Man’s religion requires conformance into a set of rules or conduct. The Bible reveals that there are no rules that any person can keep that will make them acceptable to God. It is by a reliance upon what Jesus has accomplish that God will accept any person.[4]

To those who do not know God, who have yet to experience this new birth of the spirit, these things are difficult to comprehend. Some even scoff at this possibility and find it impossible to believe. Nevertheless, this is what the text of the New Testament reveals. (more…)

A note from the author: I have been personally troubled by the discourse of both Christians and Atheists in their exchanges of ideas. Frequently I have observed rude comments and behavior exhibited from both sides that are both unnecessary and regrettable. We are all human beings and whatever it is that we hold as truth—in regards to our faith or non faith in God—we deserve kindness, gentleness, and a measure of humility when we discuss ideas together.

The 2012 U.S. Census, calculated that the number of people living in the United States is: 313.9 million.[1]

A 2012 survey by Pew Research Center, revealed that 2.4% of Americans define themselves as an “atheist.”[2] This places the number of those who describe themselves in this manner, at approximately 1 million, 307 thousand. Of these, 5% state that they are absolutely certain that God does not exist.[3]

According to the 2012 Merriam-Webster dictionary, the literal definition of an “atheist” is: “A person who believes that God does not exist.” This definition does not hold true amongst atheists themselves.[4]

The term “atheist” is difficult to properly define. Even amongst those who describe themselves by this term, 14% state that they do believe in God or some form of a universal spirit.[5] Amongst those surveyed, 5% said they are “absolutely certain” about the existence of God or a universal spirit. Alternatively, there are many people who fit the dictionary definition of “atheist” but do not call themselves atheists. (more…)

If God is all powerful and has the capacity to destroy evil and pull down every unjust leader and government–why do they still exist? This is a question which has perplexed men for centuries. The Bible explains this paradox and the reasons why evil is allowed to continue. Even spiritual leaders in the Christian church who serve only themselves, or exist for unrighteous motives–God has permitted them, for His own purposes. (more…)
