The Book of Hebrews is amongst the most important texts in all of the Bible. Everything that we know about Jesus in the New Testament, has its foundation in the Old Testament sacrifices. The Book of Hebrews defines how these sacrifices are fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus in the New Testament.
Hebrews begins at the beginning and informs us that all that exists was created by Jesus. From the beginning of creation, God has spoken to the people of earth through the things that He has made. He has spoken to us by His word, and in the last days, He has spoken to us directly by His Son.
Hebrews defines precisely who Jesus is as God, and make it clear that He is not an angel or created being. Jesus not only created the universe, He created each one of us and came to earth to die for our sins and make it possible for every person to find forgiveness of sin and eternal life.
Hebrews defines what faith is and details many of the men and women in the Old Testament who exhibited great faith, even in the midst of their failures. Virtually everything that we need to know about God and what Jesus has accomplished for us, is revealed in the Book of Hebrews. This is one of my personal favorite Bible studies. I hope you are blessed by hearing the verse by verse teaching of this important book.
