A Living Relationship
I want what you want—a living and personal relationship with those who love Me. Religion has a way of numbing your senses towards My word and causes you to do things out of duty instead of love. I have said it before, “If you love Me, you will obey My commandments.” If you are in a living relationship with Me, then doing what I command will be a joy, not a burden.
If you read My word seven times a day, your heart will be filled with praises seven times. In the multitude of My words, there is an abundance of joy. The world does not understand this. They think that My Bible is just a book of stories from long ago.
I intended My word as a fountain of life for all those who drink from it. My words will make you wiser than your companions. When you are overwhelmed by trouble, it is the storehouse of My word in your heart that will sustain you. The time you have spent with Me in My word will come to your remembrance and sustain you through every trial.
By abiding in Me, you will find peace when fears creep in. As concerns fill your mind, what I have said to you in past times of our fellowship together will rise up in your thoughts and allow peace to calm your heart and mind. I am telling you this now so that when these things happen, you will remember that I told you to spend time with Me in My word today and your whole world will change.
Princes persecute me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of Your word. I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure. I hate and abhor lying, but I love Your law. Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous judgments. Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble. Lord, I hope for Your salvation, and I do Your commandments. My soul keeps Your testimonies, and I love them exceedingly. I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, for all my ways are before You. ~Psalms 119:161-168
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name. ~Malachi 3:16
Your words give me life, Jesus. They encourage me when I feel like giving up. They remind me of the love that You have held for this world even before the universe began.
My words are precious to You; not one falls to the ground. Why do I matter to You? What is it that You see, that You would die for me? Your love is immense; I cannot contain it. Your care and concern for every beat of my heart and each day of my life, immeasurable. How manifold are Your thoughts towards me, O Lord.
Yes, of course, I want a living relationship with You. I have had enough of religion and pretense. I long to know You and learn everything about You. This was Your purpose in fashioning me—to share all the beautiful days of an eternal life in righteousness.
All the things I do for You and those that are done to help other people, these are written in Your book. On the day I arrive in heaven, I want to read my story that You have recorded, and marvel at Your compassion and kindness.
How magnificent is Your love, my Lord. How blessed I am to live my life for You, and I look forward to that day when I will see You for the first time.
