The Crown Of Rejoicing

I came into the world to save people. I gave My life so that everyone might know that the forgiveness of sins and eternal life is available to all who believe.

For those who recognize the importance of helping people to understand My salvation, and spend their lives seeking to make Me known, I will give them the Crown of Rejoicing.

On the day you arrive in heaven, you will find many people who are there because you took the time to tell them about Me. Perhaps all that you did was to tell them what I have done for you. Another comes along afterwards and tells them a little more about Me. Others come at different times and do the same. As a result of all the efforts that many people have made, this person believes and is saved. Each one of you will share in receiving the same reward.

One plants, another waters, but it is I who give the increase. Each one of you is a co-laborer in the work of salvation. Everyone who makes an effort to make Me known, so that people are saved, will obtain the Crown of Rejoicing.

Saving people is My business; bringing them to Me is your business.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy. ~1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. ~1 Corinthians 3:5-8 (NLT)

And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the heavens; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.  ~Daniel 12:3 (RCR)

I can only imagine what it will be like, Lord, when I am standing in heaven before You and realize that I am finally home. There will be smiles and voices coming from people nearby, who are saying, “Thank you for telling me about Jesus,” and others who realize that they are there because I told them about You and they believed.

I understand now that how I live my life can make an eternal difference in the lives of other people. There can be souls who make it to heaven and live forever simply because I took a few minutes to tell them about You.

People are watching me because I claim to love You. They are curious whether living for You, Lord, can really change a person’s life. Help me show them that living my life for You and loving You with all of my heart is the richest and fullest life imaginable.

Make it possible for the few words I say about You to make an eternal difference in the lives of those I meet. Help me bring many with me to heaven and give You the glory You deserve.
