The Crown Of Righteousness

There is a quality of life for those who are watching and waiting for My return, that is different from others. If you believe that I could come for you at any moment, you will be living in such a way that you will not be ashamed when I come.

For the person who understands this, and they live their life with righteousness—I will reward you with the Crown of Righteousness when I come for you.

The world does not expect My return, nor do they know that all who love Me will be removed from the earth before the final judgment of the world arrives. For seven years the people of the earth will experience events, in the heavens and on the earth, that will cause the hearts of men to fail them over fear of the things that are coming upon the earth.

I have not appointed you to experience My wrath, because I took all the wrath for your sins at the cross. When all of this is about to begin, I will depart heaven with a shout and come to take you away.

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. ~2 Timothy 4:8

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. ~1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. Unless those days of wrath had not been cut short to seven years, no human being would survive. ~Matthew 24:21-22 (RCR)

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we will live with him. ~1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 (RCR)

Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, right now, and we can’t even imagine what it is going to be like later on. But we do know this, that when he comes we will be like him, as a result of seeing him as he really is. And everyone who really believes this will try to stay pure because Christ is pure. ~1 John 3:2-3 (TLB)

It is difficult, Lord, to live in a world of people who do not know You, or forget who You are. This physical life causes us to be unaware of the invisible realm of the spirit. The things of this world that we can see are passing away, while the things that last forever are invisible to us.

Help me see the unseen and to remember that only a thin fabric of time separates us from what will last forever. Remind me that how I live matters and that everything I say and do reflects back upon who You are.

I want to live righteously in this world to be a light to those who are searching for answers. Help me to live in expectation that You could come for us at any moment. Cause my mind to dwell upon Your soon return, in anticipation—knowing that my next breath on earth may be my last.

Help me purify my life of sin and live as You lived, so that I will not be ashamed when You come. I am watching, Lord, and waiting for You. Come quickly!
