In consideration of world events today (as of August 2025), there is compelling evidence that the return of Jesus for His church—the Rapture (Harpazo)—may happen very soon.

This conclusion is based upon a convergence of biblical prophetic markers, geopolitical alignments, spiritual conditions, and the “birth pangs” Jesus described in Matthew 24. In this essay, we will examine these facts:

The Biblical Doctrine of Imminency

The New Testament teaches that the Rapture is an imminent, signless event (1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-52; Titus 2:13). However, while no sign needs to precede it, the converging prophetic stage-setting amplifies the urgency of readiness. Jesus described the last days like birth pangs (Matt. 24:8)—increasing in frequency and intensity. The signs we observe today suggest the world is in advanced labor.

Global Geopolitical Alignments

Israel surrounded by hostile nations (Zech. 12:2-3): Iran, Russia, Turkey, and their proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah) are openly calling for Israel’s destruction. The Ezekiel 38–39 coalition is aligned exactly as prophesied.

Normalization with Arab nations (Daniel 9:27 stage-setting): Recent peace negotiations, though fragile, are aligning with the framework for the Antichrist’s future covenant.

Russia’s aggression & China’s rise (Daniel 11:40, Rev. 16:12): Russia’s military actions and China’s dominance in trade, technology, and military ambitions are aligning with prophetic scenarios involving the “Kings of the East.”

Globalism and Centralized Control (Revelation 13:7, 16-17)

The World Economic Forum’s (WEF) push for a Great Reset, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), and growing surveillance state align with the infrastructure needed for the Antichrist’s global economic system.

Calls for one world government, global climate regulations, and global digital identification are rapidly materializing, setting the stage for the control mechanism described in Revelation 13.

Moral and Spiritual Decline (2 Tim. 3:1-5, Rom. 1:28-32)

Open rebellion against God, sexual immorality, and moral inversion have reached global proportions.

The apostasy of formerly sound churches embracing progressive theologies (1 Tim. 4:1-2).

Rampant lawlessness and violence (Matt. 24:12) are now normalized, celebrated, or tolerated.

Technological Advancements (Revelation 13:15-17)

AI and biotechnology developments now make the mark of the beast system plausible in ways inconceivable even a decade ago.

The ability to monitor, censor, and coerce populations is already in place with digital platforms and state-sponsored surveillance.

Natural Disasters & Environmental Signs (Luke 21:11, Rev. 6:12-14)

Record-breaking earthquakes, floods, famines, pestilences, and extreme weather patterns reflect the “beginning of sorrows.”

The convergence and intensity are beyond cyclical norms, suggesting divine orchestration.

 Israel’s Prophetic Clock is Ticking

1948 (Nation Born in a Day – Isaiah 66:8) and 1967 (Jerusalem Restored – Luke 21:24) were monumental prophetic fulfillments.

The call for rebuilding the Third Temple (Revelation 11:1-2) is gaining momentum. The Temple Institute has prepared all necessary artifacts and the Red Heifer requirements are being fulfilled.

The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), which you have extensively documented, holds profound typological significance for the Rapture. The alignment of global conditions with this Feast in September 2025 is profoundly significant.

The Restrainer (Holy Spirit) is Still Present on Earth (2 Thess. 2:6-8)

The Antichrist cannot be revealed to the world until the Restrainer (the Holy Spirit’s influence through the Church) is “taken out of the way.” This does not mean that those who are born again by the Spirit of God, will not recognize him before he is revealed to the world, before the Rapture takes place. The immense opposition to full-scale global tyranny, though weakening, indicates the Restrainer’s influence is still active.

Once the Rapture occurs, this hindrance will be removed, and the Antichrist will be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2).

Is Jesus’ Return for His Church Imminent?

Yes, based on events we are seeing all over the world, the Rapture may be imminent based on the unprecedented convergence of these prophetic indicators:

1. The geopolitical alignment of nations against Israel.
2. The infrastructure for a global economic control system is active.
3. Apostasy within the visible Church.
4. Moral collapse and lawlessness worldwide.
5. Technological means to fulfill literal prophecies are in place.
6. The Jewish Temple movement is prepared.
7. Global crises (economic, environmental, political) are pressing nations towards a “solution” that prophecy calls the “covenant with many” (Dan. 9:27).

No other generation in history has witnessed all these signs converging simultaneously. This is why many, today, who study the prophetic scriptures, see that what Jesus promised, regarding His return, is happening all around us.

While no man knows the day or hour (Matt. 24:36), the season of His return is evident (1 Thess. 5:4-6). The Church is called to watch, be alert, and live with expectancy.

The present convergence of biblical, geopolitical, technological, moral, and environmental conditions makes the imminent return of Christ for His Church (the Rapture) a realistic, urgent expectation.

The Doctrine of Imminency

From a biblical perspective, the Rapture (Greek: Harpazō, 1 Thessalonians 4:17) has always been understood by traditional dispensationalists and pretribulational scholars as an imminent event—one that could occur at any moment without prerequisite prophetic fulfillment. Passages that support this include:

• John 14:3 : “When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”
• 1 Thessalonians 5:2: “For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.”
• Titus 2:13: “While we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”

Current World Events and Biblical Alignment

While the Rapture is not dependent upon specific signs, Jesus did instruct His followers to observe the signs of the times (Matthew 24:32-34). The following are key global developments that many scholars associate with the nearing end times and possibly the imminent return of Christ for His church.

 Israel’s Growing Isolation:

Despite temporary peace accords, Israel faces increasing global criticism and threats from Iran, Hezbollah, and proxies—mirroring Zechariah 12:3: “I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies…”

Gog-Magog Coalition Formation:

Russia’s alignment with Iran and Turkey, especially in military cooperation, is unprecedented and suggests the nearing of Ezekiel 38’s fulfillment, though this battle is post-Rapture according to many scholars.

Global Crises Driving Control Measures:

Recent global pandemics, wars, and economic instability have accelerated moves toward centralized control, aligning with Revelation’s depiction of a future Antichrist system.

Imminence and Feasts of the Lord

I have written extensively about Jesus fulfilling the first four Feasts and the likely fulfillment of the Rapture at the Feast of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:52). The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), due September 22–24, 2025, is significant:

“No one knows the day or hour” (Matthew 24:36) is a phrase historically tied to the Feast of Trumpets, which begins at the sighting of the new moon.

This further supports a typological fulfillment of the Rapture during this feast.

Evidence for Imminence

While Scripture does not command believers to set dates (Acts 1:7), Jesus scolded the leaders of Israel because they did not recognize the time of His arrival (Luke 21:36). The convergence of prophetic signs suggests we are in the season of Christ’s return (Matthew 24:33).

There is compelling evidence from world events, geopolitical alignments, technological advancements, and the moral and spiritual state of the world that indicate Jesus’ return for His church is imminent. These are not merely isolated events, but a global convergence, unprecedented in history.

Revelation 22:20: “He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon!’ Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”
