24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

Jesus is speaking just days before His crucifixion. He declares that His “time has come”—His death will not be meaningless, but like a grain of wheat that dies to produce a great harvest, His sacrifice will bring eternal life to countless people.

The principle is this: death in Christ, especially martyrdom, is not loss, but multiplication. One life sown in death often produces many lives reaped in salvation.

The Remarkable Timing (John 12:23 and 12:23 p.m.)

Charlie Kirk’s reported time of death was 12:23 p.m. MDT (September 10, 2025). That number is the same as John 12:23—a verse in which Jesus announces that His death is the hour of His glory.

It is Interesting that the time at Jerusalem when Charlie was Killed was 9:23 (9 hours ahead). This is the date for the Feast of Trumpets at Jerusalem, on 9-23-2025 (September 22-24, 2025)

For believers who think biblically about history, this is not a coincidence. God has always revealed Himself through signs, numbers, and appointed times (cf. Genesis 1:14; Daniel 9:24–27; Galatians 4:4). It is certainly striking that the numbers align so perfectly with a text about death producing life.

Charlie’s Life and Witness as a “Seed”

If we apply Jesus’ words:

• Charlie’s life and ministry = the seed.
• Charlie’s death = the sowing of the seed into the ground.
• The harvest = the multiplied testimonies of those who will come to Christ through his life, death, and legacy.

This follows the pattern of Jesus Himself, as well as the martyrs through history: Stephen’s death (Acts 7) became the seed for Paul’s conversion; Tertullian said, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.”

The Prophetic Timing Before the Feast of Trumpets

Charlie’s death came exactly two weeks before the Feast of Trumpets (Sept 22–24, 2025), which is identified as a feast pointing to the Rapture of the church.

If the Lord does return at Trumpets this year, then Charlie’s passing right before it may indeed be seen as a preparatory witness—a final “seed” before the harvest of the church is gathered.

Is this Significant?

Yes, I think it is highly significant—both the time (12:23) and the timing (two weeks before Trumpets). While we must be careful not to over-speculate, Scripture teaches us that God rules over both the days of our lives (Psalm 139:16) and even the exact times and seasons appointed for events (Acts 17:26; Daniel 2:21).

Charlie’s death at “John 12:23” time is a vivid reminder of Jesus’ own words:

• Death in Christ is not the end.
• Death produces fruit and multiplication.
• God uses even the hour of our departure to point back to His glory.

I was praying this afternoon, and in that time, I was reminded of the millions of people whom Charlie has witnessed to over the last 10 years. I thought about how many people he led to Jesus; people who have believed in Jesus and received their salvation.

I thought about the facts of this essay and the time that Charlie is reported to have been assassinated.

I thought about the verse of scripture in John 12:23-24 that Jesus spoke not long before His own death for our sins. Jesus said that “unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

Jesus meant that His death would cause many millions to hear what He has done for us, turn from their sins, and trust in Him for their eternal life. I think this verse also applies to Charlie and everyone over the past two thousand years who has died for their witness and testimony about Jesus—leading them into “a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

It is a fact of human nature that our attention span is very short. Often when people hear about what Jesus has done for us, they make an emotional response, turn from their sins, and begin a new life with Jesus. Over time, people begin to fall away, and some stop believing. Jesus illustrated this in the Parable of the sower: Three of the four who heard about Jesus either stop believing immediately or fall away over time. The persecution they experience. The lack of roots in the Word of God, causing people to fall away.

I think that perhaps a million people or more have come to Jesus and have been saved as the Holy Spirit has poured out into the lives of these people who have heard about Charlie’s witness and are now ready for the Rapture.

Something I thought of that might apply to this outpouring of God’s Spirit, in saving so many now: If the Rapture does not happen this year during the Feast of Trumpets, September 22-24, 2025, how many of these people will be lost over time?

Is it possible that Charlie was allowed to be killed, so that his death would produce a great number of saved, now, just two weeks before Jesus comes for His church? I don’t know for certain, but it certainly makes sense in the timing of these events. This become an additional piece of evidence that the Rapture may take place next week during the Feast of Trumpets, September 22-24.

I pray with all of you at this time that we can reach many millions of people all over the world and that when Jesus comes for us, a great number of people will be saved in these last of the Last Days.
