Strategic September: Israel, Iran and The Coming Tribulation

COPYRIGHT WARNING

The month of September, 2015, holds a few key elements that will change the world forever. Iran has already indicated that they have no intention of keeping their commitment to cease the building of nuclear material that can be used to make weapons to destroy Israel.

“Iran does not plan to issue permission for the [International Atomic Energy Agency] to inspect every site,” Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan told Al Mayadeen News Wednesday. “U.S. officials make boastful remarks and imagine that they can impose anything on the Iranian nation because they lack a proper knowledge of the Iranian nation.”

– Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan

Without the possibility of a feasible agreement between the United States and other key nations; to reduce or eliminate Iran’s capacity to produce weapons of nuclear capacity, Israel is left dangerously vulnerable.

It is clear that Israel has no other choice but to destroy Iran’s nuclear capacity, now, before the threat grows into action by Iran. If the leaders of the Iranian government care nothing for the opinions of the U.S., before they have completed their building of material that will make a nuclear weapon possible, it is certain they will not be afraid to use those weapons against Israel once they are ready.

Israel cannot allow Iran to possess a weapon that will decimate their nation. What will Israel do?

The obvious answer is that Israel will do what the United States will not. Israel will take preemptive action to cease the production of nuclear materials, very likely, this month. There have been several occasions in the past few years, where the leadership of Israel was ready to make a military strike against Iran. Last minute complications thwarted those plans.

On July 14, 2015, five permanent members of the United States Security Council: China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, plus Germany, and the European Union, signed the “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action agreement (JCPOA), with Iran.

This agreement is a comprehensive contract for the nuclear program of Iran. As a part of this agreement, Iran will eliminate its stockpile of medium-enriched uranium and cut its stockpile of low-enriched uranium by 98 percent. For the next 15 years, the centrifuges that Iran has built will be reduced by two-thirds and uranium production will be cut to just 3.67 percent. Iran agrees to not build any new uranium enriching or heavy-water plants during this same period of time. Only one plant in Iran will be allowed to enrich uranium, using their first generation centrifuges, over the next ten years. All of these activities are to be monitored by the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In exchange for these changes by Iran, they will receive monetary compensation from the United States, European Union, and the United States Security Counsel.

This agreement is viewed by Iran and those who study the MiddleEast as a catastrophic error.

With the proliferation of nuclear material now readily available in Iran, it will only be a short time until they are able to achieve weapons grade material. The nation of Israel has great reason to be concerned, for it is the sworn policy of Iran to “wipe Israel off the face of the earth.”

During the “World Without Zionism” conference in Tehran, in 2005, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said:

Our dear Imam (referring to Ayatollah Khomeini) said that the occupying regime must be wiped off the map and this was a very wise statement. We cannot compromise over the issue of Palestine. Is it possible to create a new front in the heart of an old front. This would be a defeat and whoever accepts the legitimacy of this regime has in fact, signed the defeat of the Islamic world. Our dear Imam targeted the heart of the world oppressor in his struggle, meaning the occupying regime. I have no doubt that the new wave that has started in Palestine, and we witness it in the Islamic world too, will eliminate this disgraceful stain from the Islamic world.”[1]

In 2008, on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s birthday, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said:

Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken. Today the reason for the Zionist regime’s existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation.”[2]

In August 2012, at an annual protest against the existence of Israel, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said:

The very existence of the Zionist regime is an insult to humanity” and that “the Zionist regime and the Zionists are a cancerous tumor. Even if one cell of them is left in one inch of (Palestinian) land, in the future this story (of Israel’s existence) will repeat.”[3]

The day after Ahmadinejad’s stated that Israel should be wiped of the map, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon called for Iran to be expelled from the United Nations.[4]

On 8 May 2006, Shimon Peres told the Reuters organization that “the president of Iran should remember that Iran can also be wiped off the map.

If it had not been for the Lord’s promise that in the last days Israel would come back to their land and be a nation and people once again, many Arab nations that seek the destruction of the Jews would have already swept them from the face of the earth.[5]

There has never been a more urgent time in the history of Israel when the nation needs a secure plan for peace. It is certain that the most recent abandonment of Israel by president Obama, has left Israel in a drastic offensive position. In the past two weeks it was revealed that the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that there were several occasions in recent years when his nation was ready to launch an offensive attack on the nuclear producing sites of Iran. Each time they were ready to deploy, sudden circumstances prevented these strikes.

In an article published by the Times of Israel, August 21, 2015, 9:48 pm, the writer states that Ehud Barak supported Netanyahu’s desire to strike Iran:

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to strike at Iran’s nuclear facilities in 2010 and 2011, but was prevented from doing so, first by his army chief of staff and then by ministerial colleagues,” Netanyahu’s former defense minister Ehud Barak said.

Barak said he and Netanyahu on more than one occasion sought to order an Israel Air Force attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, but were scuppered first by chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi in 2010, who said the IDF was not ready for the operation, and then by fellow cabinet ministers Moshe “Bogey” Ya’alon and Yuval Steinitz, who did not support the idea. Ya’alon is the current Israeli defense minister. Steinitz is the minister of energy and Netanyahu’s point man on Iran. Barak has retired from politics.

The strikes were planned to take place because Netanyahu and Barak anticipated that Iran would enter a “zone of immunity”, in which its facilities were so well-protected or developed as to render an attack on them either a short-term solution or even futile. Netanyahu maintains to this day, however, that Israel will act alone if necessary to prevent Iran attaining nuclear weapons…”[6]

We must wonder what the true hindrance was in Israel carrying out a successful attack on Iran. If we believe that the Lord has a specific time appointed for the Tribulation to begin, it is certain that a strike by Israel on any Arab nation in the past few years, would have certainly hindered any chance of a seven year peace agreement being signed at this time.

With the advent of four blood moon’s on specific Jewish Feast days, the final, occurring at the end of September, 2015, this certainly appears that this would be a perfect time for the peace plan to be signed and the seven year Tribulation to begin.

We will have to wait and see.

The world is ready for the antichrist and the Tribulation

I have been struck by the realization this past year that the current generation of people on the earth, have very little knowledge of the Bible. There are many who will state that they have read the entire Bible, but how many are there who really understand what they have read? When the Ethiopian Eunuch was observed by Phillip, reading the scriptures of Isaiah 53 that described the death of the Messiah, Phillip asked if this servant of Africa understood what he was reading. The humble man replied:  “How can I, unless someone guides me?” (Acts 8:30)

There is great need today of someone to guide people in a proper understanding of the scriptures.

When I first came into a knowledge of Jesus in 1975, my knowledge of the Bible was very limited. I was fortunate to have attended a church where the primary focus of the pastor was to teach the Bible to the people. Over the course of the next 30 years, I was taught the entire Bible—Genesis to Revelation; line upon line, verse upon verse. This art of expounding upon the scriptures and teaching them one verse at a time, is seldom seen in any church today. As a result, there is a great famine in the word of God. Pastors do not know what the Bible teaches, so they are not able to teach the people. As a result, we live in a period of history that the New Testament call: “perilous.”

This is particularly important as we approach the day of Jesus return

During the time when the world is being prepared for the Tribulation period, a charismatic ruler will make his entrance and be able to deceive a great number of people. This will be possible because a majority of citizens on our planet will not know what God has said regarding the “antichrist.”

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him…Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless there is a great falling away of the faith  first, then the man of sin will be revealed, the son of perdition. —2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (RCR)

As the prophet Daniel was finishing the writing of his book, the Lord told him that in the last days, when the fulfillment of all Daniel’s prophecies would be accomplished, the world would not understand these things, but those who know God and understand His world, will understand.

And none of the unsaved shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. —Daniel 12:10

A departure from the faith that was formerly known by past generations, is upon us. I have been astonished by the vast numbers of young men and women who have told me that they were once fervent followers of Jesus, but today, no longer believe. It has been my observation that this mass “departure,” has been caused by a famine of God’s word. When people are starving and they fail to receive the sustenance that they need to live, eventually, they will die. There have been many thousands of Christian deaths in the past 10 years, because no one has fed them.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD. Amos 8:11

When a person knows and understand what God has to say and how to apply His wisdom to their life, they will not fall away. There are many people today who attend churches and go through all the motions of being a “Christian,” while they have never come into a personal relationship with Jesus. Going to church and doing church activities, does not make a person a Christian. Knowing Jesus intimately and personally, and following Him with all of your heart—this is what makes a person a Christian.

Because the teaching of God’s word, is no longer being accomplished, this generation has been robbed of the great blessing of knowing God and being guided by His word. Pastors today do not teach through the Bible. Instead the people hear sermons that entertain, and inform the people about social issues and the need to become more involved in the community. Although these are a few of the important things that a church can do, they are not the primary purpose of Jesus church. First, the people need to know God. They cannot know Him apart from His word. They cannot know His word, unless the pastor teaches them. The pastor cannot teach the people if he is not taught first.

Once the church has grown into maturity, as they have come to know who God is and what His will is for their life, they cane venture out into the community and make a difference.

It is clear that the Lord knew that in the last days, before His return, churches would fail to deliver the teaching of the Bible to the people. This would cause those who attend these churches to be weak and uniformed. When the antichrist arrives not he scene, his words and personality will immediately draw many to follow him. This deception will be possible because people were not prepared.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie… —2 Thessalonians 2:9-11

The key characteristic of the last days is “deception.” How are people deceived? By a lack of knowledge in the truth. The world has a truth that seems right to many people, but in the end, it only leads to death. The truth that comes from knowing and understanding the Word of God, gives light and life to every person who reads and understands.

Jesus said that during the time, just prior to His return, the world would be in a great state of deception.

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. Matthew 24:4-5

Jesus warned that when the antichrist comes into the world in the last days, the world will receive him because he comes in his own name. When Jesus came in the name of the Father, who sent Him into the world to die for us, the world did not receive Him.

I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. John 5:43

As we see the increasing tensions between Israel and Iran each week, we must understand that the Lord is about to do something spectacular. The Lord is guiding all of the events of this planet and He has a specific time for when the things described by the Book of Revelation will commence. We notice that the first three chapters of Revelation are directed at Jesus church. When Jesus is finished speaking to His church, in chapter 4 He tell those who love Him, on the earth, to “come up here.” Then in chapter 5, we people who have been redeemed by Jesus—in heaven, from every tribe, tongue, nation, and people; singing the song of redemption that only the church can sing. Next, back on earth, we see the opening of the first seal in Revelation chapter 6, which begins the seven year Tribulation.

The time when Jesus will appear once again over the earth, is very near. The beginning of the seven year Tribulation is upon us. The blood moon’s of 2014 and 2015 are not the real issue that we should pay attention to. The important fact is that these “signs,” are only to draw our attention back to the Bible, where we can read about the events of the last day and the time when Jesus will come again for His church.

I recently completed an extensive book that explains all of the events of the last days: The Rapture, why it is true and how it will happen. The Tribulation; what it means, and what will happen during these seven years. The return of Jesus to earth, physically—with His church; the Battle of Armageddon, and the establishment of Jesus kingdom upon the earth for 1,000 years. All of these events are near, and from the look of things around the world, September is an important month to be watching for Jesus return.
