When this world becomes too much for you, hide yourself in Me. Find peace under My strong arms, and remember that in My presence there is always hope. If you should slip, know that I will uphold you and not let you fall. In danger and the presence of fear, you are safe with Me as your rear guard.
Before you come with your needs, be certain that you are ready to place all your trust in Me. If your mind wanders into doubt, and your heart strays from confidence, I will be unable to do anything to help you. I came to My own hometown of Nazareth, and because of their unbelief I could do little there. I work in the realm of faith and a certainty that I am good and able to do what you ask of Me.
The abiding source of confidence in your daily life is in My eternal word. I wrote it for you before I built the first star. The depth of My word is not apparent to those unaware. Only the diligent and sincere can find the layer upon layer where I hide My treasures of knowledge.
I hate the double-minded, but I love Your law. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word. Depart from me, you evildoers, for I will keep the commandments of my God! Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope. Hold me up, and I shall be safe, and I shall observe Your statutes continually. You reject all those who stray from Your statutes, for their deceit is falsehood. You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Your testimonies. My flesh trembles for fear of You, and I am afraid of Your judgments. ~Psalms 119:113-120
Hide me, Lord, in Your secret place where the world and the enemy cannot find me. Place a hedge of protection around my life so that attacks will have no effect. Give me weapons of humility, silence, service, and kindness. These weapons of peace have no defense, and they break down the walls and fortresses of every adversary.
Keep me in a place of willingness, and cause my double-mindedness to depart. I know that my doubts prevent You from working when I need You the most. Give me, instead, confidence and trust that You are able to do what You have promised.
Your judgements, Lord, will soon come upon this world, but You said that all my sins are already placed under the death You died for me. There is no judgment awaiting me because You were convicted in my place. Help me to tell of Your wonderful salvation and warn those I meet that You have commanded us all to turn from our sins and turn to You for our salvation.
