Reaching Maturity

I love it when you come to Me with your needs, trusting that I can help you. I also delight in the times when you simply come to thank Me and bring your praise. It’s a sign of maturity when you begin to think about all that I have done for you and how I am always thinking about your needs. I want you to understand that My plans for your life are even better than those you have dreamed for yourself. Know that everything that comes into your life is founded upon My love for you and a desire to see you blessed.

Some of these plans include pain. A few of your days will be difficult and require patience. Even these are designed from love, to teach you how to trust even when there is no visible reason to place your confidence in Me. Know that I am present in all your impossible situations and difficulties. Understand that My love is always with you, and I will never leave you or forsake you—ever.

Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things.

My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly. The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.

He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; He remembers we are only dust. Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

The wind blows, and we are gone—as though we had never been here. But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him.  ~Psalms 103:1-17 (NLT)

When I consider all the words of Psalms 103, I am overwhelmed by Your love. As David realized all that you had done for him, and praised Your name, I also lift up my praise and thanksgiving to You, Lord.

Be with me in every part of my life. Thank You for taking me through all of David’s words in Psalms 119. Now I am better fortified to withstand the pressures and trials of this world.

Stay close by me and never leave me to my own wisdom or strength. I depend upon You for everything. Without You, Jesus, I am nothing. When I abide in You and Your words abide in me, I can overcome all things.

Use all the words of Your book to guide my paths, and bring me to a good place where I can find peace and wisdom.
