The Crown Of Glory

The most important thing that anyone can do, while still here on earth, is to teach My word to people. It is only by learning what I have said and being able to apply it to your life that you will truly grow and become effective to reach the world with My Gospel.

For the pastor who is diligently teaching My flock during the week, be faithful and do not quit. Teach in humility, with compassion, and be a good example of one who knows Me. If you will continue to do this until I come, I will give you the Crown of Glory.

Do you teach My little ones in Sunday school? Is your gift, to conduct a home Bible study or lead a men’s or women’s group? Do it with all of your heart and take good care of those who are entrusted to you, and I will give you a crown that will never fade away.

The rewards I give to those who sincerely serve Me by teaching others My Word, and do not give up, will last forever. There is nothing you could ever do that would bring Me more joy than to deliver My word to the world.

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. ~1 Peter 5:2-4

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. ~2 Timothy 2:2

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. ~2 Timothy 4:2 (NLT)

So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. ~Colossians 1:28 (NLT)

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. ~Colossians 3:23-24

Teaching the word… How incredible that You would allow me to do something so important, Jesus. Before the world existed, You spoke and, by Your words, all the heavens came into existence.

You chose words to communicate with us who You are and what Your plans are for our lives. You placed Your words into our hands and called us to teach them to other people, who would do the same.

What a great responsibility this is, to take the words of the Living God and distribute them to the whole world. Help me, Lord, to do this faithfully, cheerfully, with sincerity and determination—knowing that every one of Your words I give to people has Your power behind it to change lives.
