Who I Reveal Myself To:

The intellectual thinks that they can disprove Me by science or logic. They imagine that their education, or open-mindedness, allows them to see things that the simple cannot understand. In truth, I hide Myself from those who think themselves wise. I reveal Myself to the humble, diligent seeker who genuinely wants to know Me.

You can become one of the wisest persons the world has ever known, if you seek to know Me with all of your heart. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are stored in Me. I have existed forever, and there is nothing I do not know. If you search for Me and seek to understand who I am, I will give you knowledge about the universe and the world, that the most brilliant scientists cannot comprehend.

Look up into the night sky, at all the stars. I made each one and gave them a name. There are more stars than grains of sand on the earth; yet, each one My hands have touched, My mind knows well. How much more valuable are you and your precious life to Me? All the stars together and every beautiful thing I have created can never equal the love I have for you.

So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. ~1 Corinthians 1:20-21 (NLT)

How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. ~Luke 19:42 (NLT)

And Jesus prayed this prayer:”O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding the truth from those who think themselves so wise, and for revealing it to little children. Yes, Father, for it pleased you to do it this way!  ~Matthew 11:25-26 (TLB)

It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. ~Hebrews 11:6 (MSG)

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. ~Romans 1:20 (NIV)

How could I ever write enough, say enough, give enough, to express how much I love You, dear Jesus. You have been so gracious to me and have showered my life with good things since the first day I came into this world.

Your thoughts towards me are never-ending. Your plans are exceedingly greater than all those I could make for myself. You have hedged me, both behind and ahead, with protection and promises that are too wonderful to imagine.

I know that soon I will walk on streets in Your city and talk to You as a man speaks to his friend. You have been my counselor and guardian, and You carried me many miles and across countless battlefields. I am alive today and have the hope of eternal life because of Your love. How I praise and thank You, Lord, for all Your goodness.
