Admit Your Mistakes:

Some people see the admission of mistakes as a sign of weakness. In My kingdom, those who confess their failures and weaknesses are mighty. It is a fact that not one of you, born on the earth, is perfect. All have sinned and fall short of My perfection. I do not condemn you for your imperfections, but I will rebuke you for pleading innocence when guilty.

There are no sweeter words I love to hear than “I’m sorry, I was wrong.” Wives love to hear their husbands say this, friends treasure those who admit their errors, and I am always pleased when anyone comes to Me in sincere sorrow for their sins and seeks My forgiveness.

David perfected repentance and sincerity, in Psalms 51, when he acknowledged his sins and blamed no one but himself. Everyone who comes to Me with this kind of heart will find forgiveness, and their lives will be restored. You may suffer the consequences for your actions in this world, but in My book, and in heaven, there will be no memory.

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. ~Proverbs 28:13 (NLT)

If we confess all our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ~1 John 1:9 (RCR)

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. ~James 5:16 (NLT)

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight—that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge. ~Psalms 51:1-4

Lord, help me, when I am wrong, to see the deception of my heart and to acknowledge my weaknesses and failures. Bring me to Your throne of grace where I can find mercy and help in my times of need. Remind me that all my sins are already under Your blood and that You do not hold one against me.

Give me a heart of humility and sorrow for my sins so that they are equally as offensive to me as they are to You. Help me to see myself as You do, and not as others or I see myself. Only You, Jesus, really know me and the reasons why I say and do everything in my life.

I want a heart that is teachable, correctable, and willing to do the hard work of obedience. I know that Your ways are much better than mine and that the ways of this world only lead to sorrow and death.
