The Return Of Jesus For His Church: If Not Now, When?

When Jesus Arrived On Earth the First Time, People Asked If The Signs He Was Showing Them Were Sufficient To Believe He Was The Messiah

John 7:31 “Many among the crowds at the Temple believed in Jesus. “After all,” they said, “would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?”

When Jesus began performing thousands of miracles of healing and commanding the physical laws of the universe to obey Him, many people understood that the Messiah had arrived. They had read the Old Testament Prophecies that described the arrival of the Messiah, and they asked: “Would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?”

Today, there are similar signs all over the world that Jesus will soon return for His church. Scoffers say that these events are not related to Jesus’ return; they are simply political conflicts that have happened for the past two thousand years. It is interesting that Peter wrote early in the first century that when we near the time of Jesus’ return, this is exactly what people will say: “It’s been too long, Jesus is not going to return…”

2 Peter 3:3-4 “Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

Will There Be More Signs That Jesus Is Returning Than We Are Seeing Right Now?

I have been a student and teacher of the Prophecies of the Bible that describe the return of Jesus for 50 years (April 2025). This is the first time that every sign the Bible describes for the return of Jesus is happening all at once.

PRIMARY SIGNS OF JESUS’ RETURN FOR HIS CHURCH

(The Biblical Signs with Supporting Scripture References)

ONE: Widespread Apostasy and Departure from the Faith:

Many will abandon sound doctrine and follow deceptive teachings.

1 Timothy 4:1:  “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3: “Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.”

TWO: Lawlessness and Moral Decay Will Abound:

The world will be filled with violence, rebellion, and disdain for authority.

Matthew 24:12: “Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.”

2 Timothy 3:1–5:  “In the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money… They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God… They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.”

THREE: The Rebirth of Israel as a Nation:

The nation of Israel would be reborn in the last days.

Isaiah 66:8:  “Who has ever seen anything as strange as this? Who ever heard of such a thing? Has a nation ever been born in a single day?”

Ezekiel 37:21–22: “I will take the people of Israel from among the nations… I will bring them home to their own land from the places where they have been scattered.”

Fulfilled: May 14, 1948 — Israel reborn in one day.

FOUR: Jerusalem Back in Jewish Control:

A major prophetic milestone for the end times.

Luke 21:24:  “Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.”

Fulfilled: 1967 Six-Day War — Jerusalem reunified under Jewish sovereignty.

FIVE: The Rise of the False Christian Church Devoid of Repentance For Salvation

The Progressive Christian Church ignores the texts of the Bible that specify repentance from all sin before God will grant salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Created to welcome same-sex persons in the church, this movement is not the historical biblical church Jesus birthed in Acts chapter 2.

2 Timothy 4:3-5 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth.”

SIX: Global Travel and Explosion of Knowledge

Daniel 12:4: “But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret… until the end of time, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”

Fulfilled: Modern global travel (airlines, internet), data doubling every 12 hours (as of 2025).

SEVEN: Rise of Globalism and Preparations for a World Leader:

An infrastructure preparing for Antichrist’s control is already forming.

Revelation 13:7: “And he was given authority to rule over every tribe and people and language and nation.”

Developing Now: United Nations agendas, digital currency (CBDC), AI surveillance, climate treaties—all facilitate global control.

EIGHT: Spiritual Apathy and Mocking the Return of Jesus for His Church

2 Peter 3:3–4: “In the last days, scoffers will come… They will say, ‘What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?’”

Fulfilled Today: Mainline denominations and popular culture mock the idea of a literal return of Christ.

NINE: The Gospel Preached to All Nations

Matthew 24:14: “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.”

In Progress: Bible translated into over 3,600 languages. Internet, satellite, and missionaries reach nearly every nation.

Caveat: This scripture is likely meant for the Tribulation Period, not the period before Jesus arrives to remove His church

TEN: Increase in Wars, Earthquakes, Famines, and Pestilence

Matthew 24:7–8 : “Nation will go to war against nation… There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”

Taking Place Now: Global conflicts (Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Hamas), famines in Africa, earthquakes in Turkey, Haiti, and Asia, pandemics (COVID-19, avian flu).

ELEVEN: Rise of Technology Enabling the Mark of the Beast

Revelation 13:16–17:  “He required everyone… to be given a mark… so that no one could buy or sell anything without that mark.”

Taking Place Now: Implantable microchips, digital ID, CBDCs, facial recognition, cashless societies.

TWELVE: The Ezekiel 38 War — Overview and Key Players

Ezekiel 38–39: A prophetic war where a vast coalition comes against Israel, but is supernaturally defeated by God.

UPDATE: The U.S. airstrike on the Fordow nuclear site near Qom, Iran—carried out by 7 B‑2 Spirit bombers dropping 14 GBU‑57 “Massive Ordnance Penetrator” (MOP) bombs—occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. local time, JUne 22, 2025 (Iran Standard Time)

Iran Attacked By United States B-2 Bombers: The Prophecy of Ezekiel 38 Implications

  • Official briefings and intelligence assessments indicate the operation was planned for the pre‑dawn window, typically between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m., to exploit reduced alertness and vulnerable air‑defense conditions .
  • According to The Times (via AP/UK reports), the B‑2 bombers departed from Diego Garcia aiming to strike Fordow at around 3:30 a.m. local time.
  • Confirmation from Fox News via Trump’s side, and multiple outlets, report six MOP bombs were delivered onto Fordow during this strike.

Importance of Destroying Iran’s Nuclear Capacities

When the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 is fulfilled, there is a confederacy of nations that come together from the North. These nations include, Russian, Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya and Turkey. All of these nations must come to attack Israel or the prophecy fails.

Understanding that Iran is a key nation in this attack on Israel, and knowing that as of today, Iran no longer has a nuclear capability, this battle described by Ezekiel 38 must happen very soon. After 30-60 days Iran will likely be under the control of a new government and have vastly diminished military capabilities. They would not be able to come with the other nations named in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy.

To fulfill the Ezekiel 38 Prophecy, this Battle must take place within 30-60 days. At 90-100 days, we enter the Feast of Trumpets when the removal of Jesus’ church is likely. This will cause the Tribulation Period to begin, with the revealing of the antichrist.

Where We Are Today In The Prophetic Fulfillment Of All Prophecies Of The Last Days

Timing of Ezekiel 38 Battle Relative to the Rapture

The timing of the Ezekiel 38 war is debated, but many conservative scholars, including Arnold Fruchtenbaum, a leading expert in Messianic Judaic theology, Chuck Smith, Mark Hitchcock, and Chuck Missler, agree that the events of Ezekiel 38 will take place before the Rapture of the Church

Timing:

  • Just prior to the Rapture, as one of the final signs, or:
  • After the Rapture, but before the Tribulation begins

Biblical Evidence:

“In the latter years… after Israel has returned to her land”

Ezekiel 38:8: “A long time from now you will be called into action… You will attack a land that has recovered from war and where the people live in safety.”

“No one will help Israel”

Ezekiel 38:13: “But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, ‘Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold?’”

These nations protest but don’t intervene. Possibly the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and allies offering only verbal objections.

“I will bring you against my land…”

Ezekiel 38:16: “You will come against my people Israel… so the nations will know that I am the Lord.”

The result is divine judgment, not human military victory

Ezekiel 38:22: “I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur!”

Why The Ezekiel 38 War Sets the Stage for the Tribulation

Supernatural Destruction of the Invading Armies (Ezek. 38:21–23): Results in global recognition that God has defended Israel

Massive Power Vacuum and World Shock: This defeat removes major military powers (Russia, Iran, Turkey), allowing for:

  • Rise of the Antichrist (Daniel 7:8; Revelation 13)
  • Global peace treaty with Israel (Daniel 9:27)
  • Beginning of the 7-Year Tribulation

Israel’s False Sense of Peace Afterward: They are likely disarmed and deceived by the peace treaty with the Antichrist

A Pre-Tribulation Ezekiel 38 Battle Fits The Pre-Trib Rapture Viewpoint: The Church is gone (1 Thess. 4:17), and God’s focus shifts to Israel and the nations (Daniel’s 70th week)

The War of Ezekiel 38 is a Trigger Point

  1. Ezekiel 38–39 forms a bridge between the Church Age and the Tribulation
  2. It validates biblical prophecy, exposes false religious claims, and sets up the need for a world “savior” (Antichrist) to broker peace
  3. Many scholars agree that we are seeing every nation mentioned in Ezekiel 38 aligning precisely as prophesied, and events are converging toward this war

SUMMARY OF EZEKIEL 38–39 PROPHECY

Key Details:

  • A coalition of nations, led by Gog (likely a Russian leader), invades Israel from the north.
  • The motive is plunder and control of wealth (Ezek. 38:12).
  • Israel is living securely and prosperously in its land (Ezek. 38:8).
  • The Lord Himself destroys the invading armies through supernatural means (Ezek. 38:19–22).
  • The event leads to the global recognition of Yahweh as the one true God (Ezek. 38:23).

THE ALIGNMENT OF CURRENT EVENTS (2024–2025)

Russia’s Expansionism and Alignment with Iran & Turkey

Ezekiel 38:2–6 — Magog (Russia), Persia (Iran), and Togarmah (Turkey)

  • Russia’s military aggression (Ukraine, Syria) has solidified its role as a northern aggressor.
  • Russia, Iran, and Turkey have formed an alliance, operating together in Syria, just north of Israel—the precise location required by Ezekiel 38:15.
  • Joint military exercises between Russia, Iran, and China signal an increasing partnership hostile to Western and Israeli interests.

Ezekiel 38:15: “You will come from your homeland in the distant north… a vast and awesome army.”

Iran’s Intensifying Hostility Toward Israel

Ezekiel 38:5 — Persia (Iran)

  • Iran continues to fund and arm proxies: Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad.
  • April–May 2024: Over 300 missiles and drones were launched directly from Iran into Israel—the first open, direct attack in history.
  • Iran has vowed to annihilate Israel, and its nuclear program is nearing weapons-grade capability.

Ezekiel 38:10–11: “You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her…’”

Israel’s Recent Prosperity & Natural Resources

Ezekiel 38:12 — Invasion for plunder

  • Israel is now an energy exporter, with massive natural gas discoveries off its coast (Leviathan field).
  • Europe is increasingly dependent on Israel’s energy as a replacement for Russian gas.
  • Israel’s booming tech, agricultural, and military sectors make it a prime economic target.

Ezekiel 38:12: “I will capture vast amounts of plunder—for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now.”

Turkey’s Growing Hostility Toward Israel

Ezekiel 38:6 — Beth-Togarmah (modern-day Turkey)

  • Turkey, under President Erdoğan, is returning to Islamist nationalism and open hostility toward Israel.
  • Turkey increasingly aligns with Russia and Iran geopolitically.
  • Public declarations and media from Turkey portray Israel as the oppressor of Muslims and enemy of Islam.

Sudan and Libya in Alignment with Anti-Israel Forces

Ezekiel 38:5 — Put (Libya), Cush (Sudan)

  • Sudan signed a peace normalization deal (Abraham Accords) in 2021, but internal upheaval and Islamist factions now threaten to reverse that agreement.
  • Libya remains a fractured state with Islamist militias aligned with Turkey and anti-Israel sentiment.
  • Both nations have historical ties to anti-Israel coalitions, and current instability makes them vulnerable to being drawn into the coming alliance.

Israel Living Securely, But Not Without Tension

Ezekiel 38:8, 11 — “Living in safety”

  • Though surrounded by enemies, Israel’s military dominance (IDF, Iron Dome, David’s Sling) gives it perceived security.
  • Abraham Accords with UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and others created a sense of regional calm.
  • Ezekiel’s reference to “unwalled villages” speaks more to a sense of security, not literal lack of walls in a modern age.

Ezekiel 38:8: “…now all of them live in peace.”

No Nations Come to Israel’s Defense—Only Protest

Ezekiel 38:13 — Sheba, Dedan, Tarshish protest but do nothing

These events represent:

  • Sheba & Dedan = Gulf Arab states (UAE, Saudi Arabia)
  • Tarshish and young lions = Possibly Britain, the U.S., and Western allies

Current signs:

  • Saudi Arabia normalizing with Israel but reluctant to defend it militarily
  • Western powers (e.g., the U.S.) increasingly divided and hesitant to intervene militarily in the Middle East

Ezekiel 38:13: “…Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold?”

The geopolitical stage has never been more aligned with the specifics of Ezekiel 38–39 than it is today. The nations are in position, the alliances are formed, and the hostility toward Israel is intensifying. Nothing more is required prophetically for this war to begin, and it could be the next major prophetic fulfillment—possibly immediately following the Rapture, clearing the way for the Antichrist’s rise and Israel’s false peace treaty (Daniel 9:27).

When Jesus arrived the first time, it was in the presence of 400 Messianic Prophecies. In the Old Testament, God called men who had set themselves apart from this world to hear what God said and record these prophecies for posterity.

See The 400 Messianic Prophecies

What are the signs that we should watch for that would indicate Jesus’ return is imminent? This essay examines the texts in the Bible that specify the arrival of Jesus to remove His church before the seven-year Tribulation, and what must happen before that day.

Very Few People Noticed The Signs of Jesus’ First Arrival as the Messiah

Jesus arrived on earth at the precise time the prophets of the Old Testament specified that He would come (Gal. 4:4). Jesus quickly set out to fulfill all of the 400 Messianic Prophecies required of the Messiah. As Jesus fulfilled these prophecies, He was performing tens of thousands of miracles in the presence of many people (Lk 6:19). In the middle of these events there were people who were watching what was happening and they noticed that Jesus was doing exactly what the Prophecies of the Old Testament said the Messiah would do. The Apostle John records the words these persons were saying

John 7:31 “Many among the crowds at the Temple believed in Jesus. “After all,” they said, “would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?”

When Jesus arrived as the Messiah the first time, it was in the presence of “signs,” miracles that Jesus performed that validated His arrival. It was by certain signs that Jesus said we would be able to recognize the time when He will return. Most people in the days before Jesus returns will not be paying attention to the signs, but a few will notice:

Jesus said that those who love Him and wait for His return, should constantly be watching for the signs of His return

Matthew 24:42 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.

Mark 13:34-37  “The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!”

Jesus scolded the leaders of Israel for not recognizing the signs at that time, that He would arrive

Matthew 16:2-3 “Jesus replied, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times!

I have intently studied and taught the Bible for 50 years (April 2025). I have not seen as many signs of Jesus’ return as I am seeing now.

Marked Increase In Lawlessness and Rebellion all over the world

This sign is one of the most visible pieces of evidence we could imagine. Every day on TV and the internet, we see masses of people gathered in rebellion and lawlessness against governments, laws, and the natural order.

There is a Real Increase in Frequency and Severity of Lawlessness and Rebellion, Globally

Data confirms a significant upward trend in political violence and civil unrest since COVID began:

  • Over 800 major antigovernment protests occurred globally since 2017, with 160+ events in 2024 alone, many enduring longer than three months  .
  • ACLED Conflict Index reports a 25% rise in political violence events in 2024 versus 2023, following similar growth from 2020 onward  .
  • Global risk assessments (Allianz) highlight that civil unrest and political violence rank among the top 10 global business risks through 2025, with expectations of increased frequency and severity  .

The Facts

Frequency: Protest and riot events have clearly increased. Post‑2020 saw a sharp rise, with 2024 notably surpassing earlier annual averages.

Severity: Several notable incidents involved large-scale violence, arson, destruction of public infrastructure, and significant death tolls.

Expert Consensus: Independent trackers (ACLED, Carnegie, Allianz) confirm the escalation in both dimensions since the start of the pandemic.

Empirical data supports your observation: since early 2020, the world has experienced more frequent and increasingly severe episodes of lawlessness and rebellion. These shifts are confirmed both by anecdotal incidents and aggregate metrics across global tracking organizations.

A significant increase in the frequency and severity of natural disasters

Early in 2020, I wrote the following in response to the Global COVID Pandemic in my Book of Revelation Commentary:

“As I write this chapter, COVID-19 has nearly covered the earth. Within weeks, every corner of our planet will have this dreaded virus among human populations. Some people think that this is a judgment from God. Others, like myself, believe that this is a wake-up call from the Lord to get ready for His return.”

THE BOOK OF REVELATION COMMENTARY, AVAILABLE IN PAPERBACK AND KINDLE

The COVID-19 Pandemic has overtaken every country in the world. As of April 13, 2024, there have been 704,753,890 Coronavirus cases in the world, and 7,010,681 deaths (worldometer).

There has not been a time during my life of 68 years when I have seen the whole world in a trial like the Global COVID Pandemic. When it began in 2020, I didn’t think we were in the seven-year Tribulation, but this Pandemic did seem to be a precursor to the beginning of the Tribulation.

During the Pandemic in 2020, I was reading these texts from John’s Gospel, and I noticed what Jesus said in John 16:12:

“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.”

I asked the Lord if He would tell me about the future and what the COVID-19 Pandemic means about His return and the beginning of the Tribulation. Almost immediately, I was reminded of the texts in Habakkuk, where the prophet said the just shall live by faith. I opened Habakkuk and began to read through the text. I came to chapter 3, the prayer of Habakkuk:

This prayer was sung by the prophet Habakkuk:

Habakkuk 3:1-6: “I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe at your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy. I see God moving across the deserts from Edom, the Holy One coming from Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise. His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise.

“Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden. Pestilence marches before him; plague follows close behind. When he stops, the earth shakes. When he looks, the nations tremble. He shatters the everlasting mountains and levels the eternal hills. He is the Eternal One!”

Habakkuk wrote this text when Israel was backslidden and had fallen away from the Lord. The nation was in great need of revival, and the people needed to be humbled so they could return to the Lord. Habakkuk reminded the Lord that amid His anger, to remember His mercy.

Then Habakkuk said that he saw the Lord coming as brilliant as the sunrise; pestilence marches before Him; plagues follow close behind.

I believe the Lord was showing me that before Jesus comes for His church, He sent a pestilence (COVID-19) to cause people to reevaluate their lives and turn to Him. Then He will come for His church, followed by the plague of the seven-year Tribulation.

First, the pestilence comes upon the whole world; then the Lord comes and removes His church from the world (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18); then the plagues of the seven-year Tribulation will begin.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Pandemic was to prepare the world for the coming of Jesus and the beginning of the seven-year Tribulation. The purpose of that Pandemic was to cause the unsaved to turn from their sins to Jesus and be saved.

For those who already knew Jesus, COVID presented us with new opportunities to move closer to the Lord, read and study His word, pray for the lost, and increase our faith by trusting in Him during this time of trial. It was an hour when we could tell everyone we met that the time of Jesus’ return is near; now is the time to come to Him and be saved.

During moments of crisis, people are more open to the Lord and are naturally curious about what God has to say in a particular time of difficulty. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, people were searching for God to see if He could help them. People became interested in reading the Bible again and praying to help them cope with the stress and anxiety they were experiencing. Churches were filling up, and people were searching for answers from God.

It is five years later, and once again, people have forgotten God.

A Marked Increase In Natural Disasters; Frequency and Severity

Jesus said in Matthew 24 that one of the signs that we will see that will take place in the days just before He comes for His church was a marked increase in natural disasters.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, global data shows a significant upward trend in the frequency and severity of natural disasters. This escalation is evidenced across metrics such as human fatalities, economic losses, and the number of extreme weather events recorded annually.

In the United States, the number of billion-dollar disasters has dramatically increased. Between 1980 and 2024, the average was 9.0 events per year, but between 2020 and 2024, that figure surged to an average of 23.0 events annually.[1]

The year 2023 alone recorded 28 billion-dollar weather and climate events, the highest number ever documented in a single year.[2]

In 2024, the total reached 27 events, confirming the continuation of this dangerous trend.[3]

Globally, this pattern is consistent. The economic losses from natural disasters reached $210 billion in 2020, up from $166 billion in 2019, marking one of the highest increases in recent decades.[4]

By 2024, insured global losses from weather disasters totaled approximately $145 billion, with the total losses, including uninsured damages, estimated at around $320 billion (Insurance Information Institute).[5]

The human toll remains sobering. Natural disasters continue to kill approximately 40,000 to 50,000 people per year—a figure that, while consistent with prior decades, is now more concentrated in fewer, deadlier events.[6]

For example, Storm Daniel in 2023 caused over 5,900 deaths in Libya, making it the deadliest Mediterranean cyclone in history.[7]

Cyclone Freddy in 2023, which became the longest-lasting tropical cyclone ever recorded, killed over 1,400 people across multiple African nations.[8]

Other Major Natural Disasters:

  • Cyclone Amphan (2020): $13.2 billion in damages, 128 deaths.[9]
  • Henan Floods (2021, China): 300–400 deaths.[10]
  • Pakistan Floods (2022): 1,739 deaths, affecting over 33 million people.[11]
  • European heatwaves (2022): 26,300 excess deaths.[12]
  • South American wildfires (2024): 85.9 million hectares burned, 148 deaths.[13]
  • Spanish floods (2024): 219 deaths.[14]

Scientific studies confirm that the warming of oceans intensifies hurricanes, while higher global temperatures increase the frequency and strength of wildfires and droughts.15

Studies have identified numerous extreme weather events in recent years.

The data from 2020 to 2024 unequivocally demonstrates an upward trend in both the frequency and severity of natural disasters globally.

The Normalization of Sexual Sin as Acceptable to God

Jesus Destroys Sodom and Gomorrah

The Progressive Christian Church And The Normalization of Sexual Sin

Today, we have a group of people who want to be accepted in the church without repentance or turning away from their sins. They didn’t find Christian churches accepting of their life as LGBTQ persons, so they created their own church. They picked the texts of the Bible that they liked; scriptures that speak of love, grace, acceptance, and forgiveness. They excluded the scriptures that speak of same-sex behavior as sins that must be ended.

Jesus as The LORD-Yahweh, in Genesis 19:24, destroyed all of the men of Sodom for their Sodomy, because they wouldn’t repent

Jesus did not begin at Bethlehem. He has always been Yahweh, the Eternal God. Jesus, as Yahweh, destroyed Sodom, the origin of the word for “Sodomy,” same-sex sin.

“Then the LORD (Yahweh-Jesus) rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah. He utterly destroyed them.” Genesis 19:24-25

These are the words of Jesus, not mine. Jesus has already judged same-sex relationships as sin. This is proven by Genesis 19:24.

The idea that Jesus said nothing about gay or transgender persons is false. Destroying the men of Sodom for the sin of Sodomy, is definitive.

Jesus also said in Matthew 15:19-20, “that homosexual acts (porneia) defile a man.”

Jesus said in Mark 10:6-8 that “from the beginning” God created male and female and only these two are allowed by God to engage in sex, as husband and wife, for life.

This is confirmed in the New Testament by Jude and Peter:

“I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful….And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.” ~Jude 1:5-7

“God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him. Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day…God is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority.” ~2 Peter 2:7-10

Jude and Peter in the New Testament confirm that the sin of Sodom was Sexual perversion, not inhospitality

God has made it clear that same-sex sin will exclude a person from heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:9, that homosexuals, and sodomites will not inherit the kingdom of God (heaven).

malakos (transgender), arsenokoitēs (sodomites) like the men of Sodom whom Jesus destroyed in Genesis 19:24, because they would not repent.

Historical Jewish and Early Christian Conclusions In Jewish Intertestamental and Rabbinic Literature:

  • The Book of Jubilees 16:5–6 and Testament of Naphtali 3:4–5 describe the sin of Sodom as unnatural sexual relations, not inhospitality.
  • Philo of Alexandria (1st century Jewish philosopher) writes that the Sodomites “lusted after one another” and engaged in shameless acts of sodomy.

The Early Church Leaders:

  • Josephus, Antiquities 1.194–195: Sodom was destroyed because of “practices of unnatural lust.”
  • Tertullian, Ambrose, Jerome, Augustine – all refer to Sodom as punished for sexual sin, not social misconduct.

Jesus died for sinners, but we must repent of all sexual sin and live new lives of Holiness, born by the Spirit of God. Jesus has given you His laws regarding what is right concerning your body and your life. You say these laws don’t apply to you.

“Even though I gave them all my laws, they act as if those laws don’t apply to them.” ~Hosea 8:12

It Was Jesus Who Destroyed Sodom And Gomorrah

LGBTQ Persons Will Not Go to Heaven

In the Book of Revelation, at the last page of the Bible, the Lord states that “outside the gate to heaven are the sexually immoral.”

“Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches.” ~Revelation 22:15-16

The New Testament repeatedly states that same-sex relationships are sexual sin that prohibits a person from Heaven:

1 Corinthians 6:9-20 “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.”

“You can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.”

“Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”

How Could This Happen In Jesus’ Church?

Because many pastors don’t teach verse by verse through the entire Bible, people in congregations don’t get the full counsel of God’s Word. They don’t know what God has said about sin, repentance, and forgiveness.

This famine of the Word of God brought ignorance of what God requires, and the resulting creation of the Progressive Christian Church.

The Progressive Christian Church is not a single denomination with an official canon or creed, but rather a movement characterized by certain theological emphases and values. As such, Progressive Christians accept the same Bible (the 66-book Protestant canon) as other Christian traditions, but they interpret it differently, based on their opinions. Their distinctiveness lies not in the books they accept or reject, but in how they read, understand, and apply Scripture. Progressive Christians do not believe in any texts of the Bible that call for sincere repentance that ends sin. In this essay, I will show you how they view the texts that speak of sin and repentance.

Why Should Christians Who Believe In The Historical, Biblical Jesus Care?

In Matthew 24:1-4, Jesus’ disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

After this, Matthew records: “Now as Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

The disciples of Jesus wanted to know when He would be returning and what the signs of His return would be. Jesus said something stunning: “Take heed that no one deceives you.”

The last of the Last Days will be characterized by the greatest time of deception the world has ever known

The New Testament calls satan “the god of this world.”

2 Corinthians 4:4 “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.”

The Bible states that after the Fall of man in Genesis, Adam lost dominion of the earth to satan. Dominion of the earth has remained under satan’s limited power since that time. Satan has tried to corrupt the message of salvation that comes through the Messiah by creating false and counterfeit religions through deception. We will see how satan accomplishes this in this essay.

One of the most vivid ways that satan has tried to destroy the message of salvation in Jesus is through his many attempts at destroying the line of descendants that would bring the Messiah, Jesus, to earth.

There is a consistent pattern throughout biblical history that reveals strategic attempts by Satan to destroy the line of descendants through which the Messiah, Jesus, would come. This pattern begins in Genesis and unfolds throughout the Old Testament. The following facts present a chronological list of key events where the Bible demonstrates that satan has consistently tried to destroy the True Church by destroying the Messianic line of descendants:

Why Is this Important?

If satan can convince people that God doesn’t care about their sins but, instead, He is loving and kind and He will accept them even while they continue in certain lifestyles, according to Jesus and the Bible, these people will forfeit eternal life. Although this fact is presented throughout the entire Bible, Progressive Christian Churches deny this fact and do not teach these principles to people who attend their churches.

Instead of changing people by hearing the Word of God, Progressive Churches changed their message so people would accept the church.

People who attend Progressive Churches get a false sense of security, while their eternal lives are in jeopardy. I wrote this detailed essay because I love all people and I sincerely care about their lives.

The Progressive Christian Church vehemently disagrees with the idea that God cares about repentance from sin, and demands that people who come to Him for salvation must end their sins before He will accept them. We find an example of what God requires in true repentance from sin in Paul’s first and second letters to the Christians at Corinth:

In Paul’s first letter, he addresses a problem with a young man in the church who is in a sexual relationship with his father’s wife:

1 Corinthians 5:1-2 “I can hardly believe the report about the sexual immorality going on among you—something that even pagans don’t do. I am told that a man in your church is living in sin with his stepmother. You are so proud of yourselves, but you should be mourning in sorrow and shame. And you should remove this man from your fellowship.

After the Church at Corinth received this letter from Paul, they took steps to help this young man end his sin and be restored. Notice what Paul writes to the believers, that “God wants people to have Godly sorrow, the kind that causes them to end their sins, which results in their salvation.” The negative side of this would be that if the young man did not end the sexual sin and was unwilling to repent, then he would not be accepted by God and find salvation.

2 Corinthians 7:8-10 “I am not sorry that I sent that severe letter to you, though I was sorry at first, for I know it was painful to you for a little while. Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way. For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

Notice the last sentence above, which describes the kind of sorrow the world has when it gets caught doing wrong; it does not result in changed behavior by ending the sin. This empty sorrow that the world has, results in “Spiritual Death.

LGBTQ persons are forcing their ideology on the world. They say that Jesus never condemned same-sex relationships. They saw that men with men, women with women, is acceptable to God. We have misunderstood the Bible. God wants us to love people, not judge them.

The Bible is attacked by hundreds of allegations if inaccuracy, contradictions, contrivance, and lack of reliable sources.

People are falling away from Jesus by the millions, claiming they no longer believe.

I am not saying that God is telling me; I am saying what God has already said.

I am watching the world, studying the Bible, and noticing what is happening.

I don’t know when Jesus is coming again.

I don’t know who the antichrist is.

I can read the Bible and see that Jesus fulfilled the first four feasts of the Lord on the exact day, and in the specific way God said they must be fulfilled.

I can see that we are living in the Harvest period between the fourth and fifth feasts. Jesus said: “it’s four months to the harvest but I say to you lift up your eyes and see that the harvest is now.”

The Fifth feast is Trumpets, this year, September 22-24.

I can see that Donald Trump has fulfilled the first five attributes of the Antichrist.

I can count and u can see that if Jesus does come this year during the Feast of Trumpets September 22-24, three and a half years late, the middle of the Tribulation, a large meteor will pass within 18,000 miles of earth on Friday, April 23, 2029.

At the middle of the Tribulation, Jesus tells John in Revelation 8, verse 8, the second Trumpet is sounded by the angel, and “a mountain burning with fire,” strikes the earth. A vivid description of a large meteor striking earth.

  1. Thank you so much for this message. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior quite some time ago. Recently I have been saying to my daughter and my identical twin sister that so many events in the Bible that predict the end times and Jesus return for His people seem to be happening all at once, and that I thought Jesus return was extremely close. I had been looking for something to confirm what I believed and then you sent your message and it is by far the best message that I’ve read and explains everything very well. Please keep your messages coming. Your message is an answer to prayer. Yours In Christ, Janice Cohea
