The Current Peace Agreement Between Iran and Israel Will Bring Russia, Iran And China From The North To Attack Israel

The Prophet Ezekiel Recorded The Precise Events We Are Seeing Now—2,600 Years Ago

~Gog: The leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin  ~Persia: The leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei   ~Magog: The leader of China, Xi Jinping

Although it looks like we are on the verge of peace, the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 says that it will be the agreement of peace that will provoke Russia, Iran, and China to descend upon Israel to seize their wealth, resources, and warm-water access.

Ezekiel 38:8 “In the distant future, you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war.”

The current escalation between Israel and Iran, culminating in the June 2025 conflict, has its roots in a series of events that intensified over the past two years.

The Events Between Israel And Iran So Far:

October 7, 2023 – Hamas Attack on Israel

Hamas launched a significant assault on Israel, resulting in approximately 1,200 Israeli deaths and over 250 hostages taken. This attack marked a pivotal moment, drawing Iran’s regional proxies, including Hezbollah and the Houthis, into more active roles. Iran’s support for Hamas and Hezbollah intensified Israel’s perception of Tehran as a direct threat.

April 1, 2024 – Israeli Strike on Iranian Consulate in Damascus

Israel conducted an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 individuals, including two senior Iranian generals. This marked a significant escalation, as it targeted Iranian officials directly.

April 13–14, 2024 – Iran’s Direct Retaliation

In response to the Damascus strike, Iran launched over 300 missiles and drones at Israel, marking its first direct attack on Israeli territory. While most were intercepted, some caused minor damage and injuries.

July–October 2024 – Targeted Assassinations and Further Strikes

  • July 31, 2024: Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran, allegedly by Israel.
  • September 27, 2024: Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
  • October 1, 2024: Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for the assassinations. The attack caused minor damage but signified a further escalation.

June 13, 2025 – Israel’s Operation “Rising Lion”

Israel initiated a large-scale offensive targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure. The operation involved airstrikes on facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and other locations, resulting in significant casualties among Iranian military personnel and scientists.

June 14–22, 2025 – Iran’s Retaliation and U.S. Involvement

Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, causing civilian casualties. On June 22, the U.S. conducted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, prompting Iran to target a U.S. base in Qatar with missiles, which were intercepted.

June 23, 2025 – Ceasefire Announcement

President Donald Trump announced a “complete and total” ceasefire between Israel and Iran, set to begin on June 24. This agreement aimed to halt the 12-day conflict, though the long-term stability of the ceasefire remains uncertain.

The current hostilities between Israel and Iran are the culmination of escalating tensions involving proxy conflicts, direct attacks, and retaliatory strikes over the past two years. The situation remains fluid, with the potential for further developments depending on the durability of the ceasefire and underlying geopolitical dynamics.

June 24, 2025 — Warning By Trump To Israel: “No More U.S. Troops or Armaments”

President Donald Trump warned Israel, and specifically, Benjamin Netanyahu, that the United States would send no more planes or armaments to defend Israel, since the peace treaty has been agreed to. This may be the instrument that prevents the United States from interfering in an alliance of Russia, China, Iran, and the other nations mentioned in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy, concerning an attack against Israel. (Tarshish may be the U.S.)

  • A Weakened Western Defense: The U.S. and allies (represented by Sheba, Dedan, and Tarshish in Ezek. 38:13) do not intervene decisively.

Current Events as Prophetic Alignments

Based on the present military and diplomatic trends, several patterns support a future alignment in fulfillment of Ezekiel’s vision:

Iran’s Emerging Central Role (Persia)

Iran is now publicly hostile to Israel, using proxies (Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis) to test Israel’s defenses. With its nuclear ambitions targeted by Israel’s Operation “Rising Lion,” Iran may soon pivot to direct military coalitions.

Russia’s Strategic Partnerships (Magog)

Russia, though diplomatically cautious in recent months, remains closely aligned with Iran militarily and economically. Its presence in Syria (near northern Israel) and increasing criticism of Israel’s strikes make it a potential leader or facilitator of the Ezekiel 38 coalition.

Turkey’s Rising Influence (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Togarmah)

Under President Erdoğan and potential successors, Turkey continues to embrace pan-Islamist influence and has shown renewed antagonism toward Israel. Turkey has military ties with Russia and Iran and could serve as a key bridge in the Ezekiel coalition.

African Islamic Nations (Cush and Put)

Libya remains unstable but harbors jihadist factions aligned against Israel. Sudan (Cush) was in normalization talks with Israel, but the current chaos could reverse course under Islamic extremism.

Probable Next Events That Could Precede The Ezekiel 38 War

The following is a likely sequence of unfolding prophetic events:

  • False Security in Israel: Israel will feel “secure” and “unwalled” (Ezek. 38:11) — possibly following a temporary ceasefire or peace accord.
  • A Weakened Western Defense: The U.S. and allies (represented by Sheba, Dedan, and Tarshish in Ezek. 38:13) do not intervene decisively.
  • An Iran-Russia-Turkey Alliance Formalized: Possibly via mutual defense pacts or anti-Israel military exercises (Ezek. 38:5-6).
  • The Collapse of Deterrence: A sudden shift in global events (economic collapse, war in Asia, or U.S. internal crisis) might embolden this coalition (Matt. 24:6-7; Ezek. 38:10).
  • Sudden Invasion of Israel: The confederation comes “like a cloud to cover the land” with overwhelming military force (Ezek. 38:9).
  • A Supernatural Intervention by God: Earthquakes, hail, fire, and confusion destroy the invading forces — a clear sign to the world (Ezek. 38:18–23; Ezek. 39:2–6).
  • The Rapture of Jesus’ Church could be the trigger that causes the confederation of nations to descend upon Israel, and fulfills the Ezekiel 38 prophecy.

Prophetic Insights from Other Prophets

Several Old Testament prophets describe the same battle that Ezekiel 38 records:

  • Joel 3:2, 12–16 – Multinational gathering in the “Valley of Jehoshaphat,” judged by God.
  • Zechariah 12–14 – Nations come against Jerusalem; God defends Israel miraculously.
  • Isaiah 17 – Destruction of Damascus, possibly a precursor event to Ezekiel 38.
  • Jeremiah 49:34–39 – Judgment on Elam (SW Iran), possibly distinct but related to Persia’s collapse before Ezekiel 38.

What’s Next?

We are likely in the preliminary stages of the Ezekiel 38 alignment. The war in Gaza, Israeli strikes on Iran, and the recent Iran-Israel war are setting the stage. What seems imminent are:

  • A temporary peace or false sense of security in Israel
  • Further consolidation of alliances between Iran, Russia, and Turkey
  • An international event (possibly economic or war in Asia) that distracts the world and removes Western deterrence
  • Then, a sudden and overwhelming invasion of Israel by the Ezekiel 38 confederation, directly triggering God’s intervention.
  • I don’t know the day or the hour of Jesus’ return for His church, or the timing God has determined for the fulfillment of the Ezekiel 38 prophecy. I am simply reporting what Ezekiel wrote and the events that are taking place now (June-September, 2025) and placing them in context with each other. We will all have to wait and see what happens. If these events do not take place this year in parallel with the Feast of Trumpets, they will happen later during the period before or just after the Feast of Trumpets.

See: “The Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture.”

What Did Ezekiel See Concerning Israel, Iran, Russia, and China?

The Prophet Ezekiel writes the prophecy of chapter 38

The Text of Ezekiel 38

Ezekiel 38 was recorded by the prophet Ezekiel during his exile in Babylon, in the 6th century B.C., specifically around 585–573 B.C., during the Babylonian Captivity.

Ezekiel 38:1 “This is another message that came to me from the LORD: 2 “Son of man, turn and face Gog of the land of Magog, the prince who rules over the nations of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.

-Gog: The leader of Russia, Putin
-Magog: The leader of China, Xi
-Persia: The leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei
-Meshech and Tubal: The leader of Turkey, Erdogan

3 “Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: Gog, I am your enemy! 4 I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws to lead you out with your whole army—your horses and charioteers in full armor and a great horde armed with shields and swords.”

When these leaders determine to come from the North against Israel and the Jews, it will be because the “Sovereign LORD (Yahweh), brings these nations and leaders down to Israel.

The Lord’s reason is simple: to destroy these men and their armies and show the world that there is only One God, the God of the Bible, the LORD.

Ezekiel 8:23:  “In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya will join you, too, with all their weapons. 6 Gomer and all its armies will also join you, along with the armies of Beth-togarmah from the distant north, and many others.

-Persia: Iran
-Ethiopia
-Libya
-Gomer: Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan (former Islamic countries of Russia)

These nations are coming against Israel from the North, after the war between Israel and Iran and her proxies—all to take the wealth and resources of Israel and the Jews.

7 “Get ready; be prepared! Keep all the armies around you mobilized, and take command of them. 8 A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. 9 You and all your allies—a vast and awesome army—will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud.”

The time of their descent from the North is specified as in “the distant future.” They will “swoop down on the land of Israel.”

The time of this descent will be after a war that Israel has just finished, likely the war they are under now with Iran and the proxies of Iran. Just as they begin to enjoy a time of peace, these nations will come together from the North, to attack Israel.

This is the Battle of Ezekiel 38, and it is forming now as we watch these events.

10 “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: At that time evil thoughts will come to your mind, and you will devise a wicked scheme. 11 You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence!

Although the LORD is bringing these nations down from the North to attack Israel, it is also the “evil thoughts that come into the minds of these leaders,” that will devise a plan to attack Israel when they are living in peace, after a recent war. The time is now

12 “I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder, for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now. They think the whole world revolves around them!’

The leaders of this confederacy of nations will see the Jews back in their own land again after being dispersed all over the world for 2,000 years, as having accumulated vast wealth and possessions. This is the reason that Russia, China, Iran, and other nations are coming against Israel, not to win a war,

Why Are The Nations Listed In Ezekiel 38 Coming To Attack Israel?

Israel’s Natural Gas and Energy Reserves

  • Israel’s offshore natural gas fields, including Leviathan and Tamar, contain over 1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
  • Israel has become a major energy supplier to Europe, directly threatening Russia’s dominance in gas exports.

This makes Israel a strategic competitor to Russia, Iran, and Turkey — especially as Russia’s energy influence over Europe declines.

Israel’s Technological Superiority

  • Israel is the 10th-largest exporter of weapons.
  • It’s known as the “Start-up Nation” for its booming tech sector — including AI, cybersecurity, biotech, agriculture, and water technology.
  • Nations like China and Iran have tried to hack or acquire Israeli tech.

Israel’s Strategic Location

  • Israel’s location offers a central corridor between Europe, Asia, and Africa.
  • It is a geopolitical bridge for trade, intelligence, and military power.

Israel’s Agricultural Innovation

  • Israel transformed a desert into a flourishing land.
  • Its technologies in drip irrigation, desalination, and water recycling are unmatched — invaluable to arid nations like Iran, Libya, and Sudan.

Israel’s Religious and Political Control of Jerusalem

  • Though not listed in Ezekiel 38 as a motive, control of Jerusalem has been a central obsession for Islamic regimes.
  • Iran (Persia) sees the “liberation” of Jerusalem as central to its eschatology.

These are a few of the primary reasons that Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, and the other nations named in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy, are coming to attack Israel.

13 But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, ‘Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold? Do you think you can drive away their livestock and seize their goods and carry off plunder?’

Sheba & Dedan = Gulf Arab states (UAE, Saudi Arabia)

Tarshish and young lions = Possibly Britain, the U.S., and Western allies

These nations do not move against Russia, China, Iran and the others; they simply object to their coming to take the wealth of Israel.

14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: When my people are living in peace in their land, then you will rouse yourself. 15 You will come from your homeland in the distant north with your vast cavalry and your mighty army, 16 and you will attack my people Israel, covering their land like a cloud. At that time in the distant future, I will bring you against my land as everyone watches, and my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you, Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel repeats the prophecy; the purpose and the intent of God in allowing these nations to swarm over Israel: “All the nations will know that I am the LORD.”

17 “This is what the Sovereign LORD asks: Are you the one I was talking about long ago, when I announced through Israel’s prophets that in the future I would bring you against my people?

The Lord references these nations coming against Israel, and mentioned before in the texts of the Bible:

Who are the other people that Ezekiel references in verse 38:17?

  1. Isaiah 13–14; 24–27. Babylon, Assyria, and unnamed northern nations. End-time destruction and gathering of nations against Zion
  2. Jeremiah 4:6-7; 6:22-24; 30:7-11; 50–51: “Nation from the north.” A powerful nation comes from the north to desolate Israel—paralleling Gog’s direction (Ezek. 38:15)
  3. Joel 2:1-11; 3:1-16: Unnamed “northern army.” Invasion of the land, followed by divine intervention; explicitly states God will judge them in the Valley of Jehoshaphat
  4. Micah 4:11-13; 5:5-6: “Many nations.” Many nations gather against Zion, but God empowers Israel to triumph
  5. Zeph. 3:8: “All the earth.” God assembles the nations for judgment
  6. Zech. 12:2-9; 14:1-5: All nations. Jerusalem surrounded, God intervenes dramatically

The Primary Purpose For The Battle of Ezekiel 38 Is To Display The Power of The Lord, Before The Rapture of Jesus’ Church, and The Beginning of the Tribulation

18 “But this is what the Sovereign LORD says: When Gog invades the land of Israel, my fury will boil over! 19 In my jealousy and blazing anger, I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that day. 20 All living things—the fish in the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people on earth—will quake in terror at my presence. Mountains will be thrown down; cliffs will crumble; walls will fall to the earth. 21 I will summon the sword against you on all the hills of Israel, says the Sovereign LORD. Your men will turn their swords against each other. 22 I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur! 23 In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

All of these events that are taking place now in Israel, Iran, and throughout the Middle East are the final events that will happen Just Before Jesus removes His Church from Earth, or just after. The Rapture of Jesus’ Church could be the trigger that causes the confederation of nations to descend upon Israel, and fulfills the Ezekiel 38 prophecy.

The Time of Writing For Ezekiel 38:

  • Estimated Year: circa 585–573 B.C.
  • Context: Ezekiel 38–39 falls in a larger prophetic section (chapters 33–39) that was likely written after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.

The Reason Ezekiel Writes Chapter 38:

  • The fall of Jerusalem is treated as a past event in Ezekiel 33–39.
  • Ezekiel 33:21 states: “In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month…” — this would be January 19, 585 B.C. in modern dating.
  • Therefore, Ezekiel 38 was almost certainly written sometime after 585 B.C., during the latter part of Ezekiel’s prophetic ministry.

The Location Where Ezekiel Wrote This Prophecy:

Place: Tel Abib (or Tel Aviv) by the River Chebar in Babylon (modern-day Iraq)

“I was among the exiles by the Kebar River. The heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” (Ezekiel 1:1)

The River Chebar (or Kebar) was a large canal system near Nippur, southeast of Babylon, used for irrigation and transportation. This region is where many Jewish captives were settled by Nebuchadnezzar.

Background and Historical Context:

The Political Setting: The Babylonian Empire had conquered Judah and destroyed Jerusalem (586 B.C.). Ezekiel, exiled earlier in 597 B.C., was living among the Jewish captives.

The Lord gave Ezekiel a series of prophecies of hope and restoration (chapters 33–39) after the judgment prophecies (chapters 1–32). Ezekiel 38–39 focuses on a distant future event—an invasion of Israel by a coalition of hostile nations in the “latter years” (Ezek. 38:8).

These chapters shift from contemporary judgments to eschatological prophecy (end times). The phrase “in the latter years” (אַחֲרִית שָׁנִים, acharit shanim) in Ezekiel 38:8 and “in the last days” in many prophets (e.g., Isaiah 2:2; Daniel 10:14) signals this is a future end-times conflict.

Ezekiel Wrote Chapter 38 For The Days We Are Now Living

The Ceasefire between Israel and Iran is tenuous. Trump is finding it difficult to maintain a cessation of warfare between these two nations. His control over these two nations is being tested, and the world is watching to see if he has the power as a world leader to keep the peace.

This morning, (Wednesday, June 24, 2025, Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. This is an interesting event as Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants to be known as “A Peacemaker.”

In my book, “Days of Wrath: The Final Sign,” I detail how President Trump is systematically fulfilling the attributes of the antichrist.

The first three and a half years of the antichrist’s reign will be one of peace and prosperity. The world will look to him after the chaos of millions disappearing from all over the world at the Rapture. The antichrist will unite the world under one world government, monetary, and military system.

After three and a half years of peace, the antichrist will enter the newly rebuilt Temple at Jerusalem, go into the Holy Place, and he will be proclaimed as “God.” A command will be issued that all the world must worship him.

The prophet Daniel and Jesus referred to this event as “The Abomination That Brings Desolation.”

It will be at this moment that satan enters the body of the antichrist and takes control over all the following events. His reign of terror will cause everyone who decides to turn to Christ as their Savior to be beheaded. He will gather an army comprised of many nations to meet at the Valley of Megiddo in Northern Israel.

This vast horde of men and machinery will be assembled to meet the return of Jesus to earth at the end of the Seven-Year Tribulation. Jesus will return at the Mount of Olives and travel north to meet the antichrist and his armies at the Battle of Armageddon.

Jesus will simply speak, and every man and woman gathered to fight against Him will die. Isaiah describes the blood from this carnage as to the depth of “a horse’s bridle,” about five feet deep.

The Precursor For All These Events Is The Ensuing Battle Of Ezekiel 38 That Is Now In Process.

If you are interested in learning more about these events predicted by the Bible and now being fulfilled, I have published several books that detail these events:

  1. Consider the line in this article:

    https://www.reuters.com/world/china/irans-supreme-leader-asks-putin-do-more-after-us-strikes-2025-06-23/

“Extra-regional powers are also being drawn into the conflict,” Putin said. “All this brings the world to a very dangerous line.”

I know the above statement seems like a cherry pick to the point being made by brother Rob’s essay; but, the statement is made mid-article and made to ease Iranian dissatisfaction with their current situation and support.

Thank you brother Rob for all that you do … may our God continue to keep and bless you.

My prayer … may the world open it eyes … and see Jesus … and then surrender to him.

    The Beginning is Near.

  2. Thank you Robert. All we can do is send out the warnings and try to get the unsaved to make a choice for salvation through Jesus. We know that the majority are blinded by the evil one and will not choose Jesus. They will choose their pride instead. But there will be some who choose Jesus and those are who we pray for. The world is deceived by satan and his fangs are in deep. Few will enter in just as Jesus spoke. They think it will be a big party in hell but it will be darkness, loneliness, sorrow, guilt, unending pain and remorse for their own greed, pride and stupidity. It breaks my heart just as it breaks the Father’s heart that any should be lost but they are lost due to their own disbelief.
