Alpha And Omega

Before anything else existed, I was alive. Long after this present earth is gone and the universe collapses in a massive heat death, I will still be here.

The world you live in loves to tell you that they have control over your life and you must adhere to their demands. This is not true. I am the first, and I am the last. Nothing can happen to you in your life, except that I put My hands on it to examine its worth for you. I planned a good life for you before you were born, and I have a good end intended when your days are complete.

There is nothing people can do to you, except that I notice. There should be no fear in the threats that are made against you, for I am your shield and protector. If bad things arrive and people are able to come against you, then know that I will turn things around in time and you will find blessing once again.

Only do not be afraid in your life, and trust Me. I promise that on your last day, when you look back upon your life, you will see that I Am the beginning and the end of all things; and nothing shall, in any way, harm you.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”  ~Revelation 1:8

This is the purpose that is determined against the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations. For what the Lord of hosts has purposed, who can stop it? When His hand is stretched out, who will turn it back?  ~Isaiah 14:26-27 (RCR)

Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last I am He.  ~Isaiah 41:4

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. ~Isaiah 46:10 (NLT)

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. ~Luke 10:19-20

Lord Jesus, I live each day with fear over what I imagine might happen. I feel threats from people and see that living for You will cause me difficulties in this world.

I wonder if I will be able to survive and finish my life with faith in You. I stumble and fall, and sometimes feel like I am not going to make it. I look to You and read Your word, and see that You already knew all about these things.

You promised that all my trials and difficulties with people would have a good purpose. You said that, when You chasten me, it is not for my destruction but for my learning—that I might become more like You and less like this world.

Have Your way with me, Jesus, and do what You think is best. Help me to trust in Your plan, that all my days from beginning to end are always in Your hands.
