When Trump Glorifies God: Images Of Nebuchadnezzar And Cyrus

After President Trump lost the 2020 election, I posted an essay that details the reason he lost:

The Reason Donald Trump Did Not Win A Second Term As President
BY ROBERT CLIFTON ROBINSON on DECEMBER 17, 2020 • “Few consider that Donald Trump was placed into service by the Lord, yet he did not give glory to the Lord during his four years. President Trump took glory for himself and claimed he accomplished all his works. Like King Nebuchadnezzar, Trump has been removed and another replaces him.”

In both Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus, first, the Lord revealed Himself to these great kings, then they acknowledged Him and Glorified Him. President Trump did not glorify the Lord of Heaven and Earth in his presidency.

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, 20 year old, Thomas Matthew Crooks fired several shots at President Trump from the roof of a nearby building. In split-second precision, Trump turned his head slightly just as the first round was hurled towards him at supersonic speed. The precise, slight turn of his head, moved the projectile along to top of Trump’s right ear. Had this slight head turn not happened at this exact moment, the bullet of the 5.56 round, would have penetrated President Trump’s brain and immediately ended his life.

Almost immediately after Trump realized that his life had been spared by God, he acknowledged that God had saved him.

This public declaration by President Trump led to further acknowledgment by the press, and, perhaps, billions on earth, that God had orchestrated the saving of Donald Trump.

We learned on Monday night that President Trump tore up his 20-page speech that he planned for the Republican National Convention on Monday night. Realizing the gravity of the events that saved his life, it will be interesting to hear what Donald Trump says to the world when he takes the stage.

King Nebuchadnezzar of the Babylonian Empire, And Cyrus of the Persian Empire, Were Two Of The World’s Most Powerful and World-Dominating Leaders

The Bible describes, with great precision, the events that brought Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus to power, by the Sovereignty of God, for His purposes. The prophet Daniel told King Nebuchadnezzar that he had made a mistake by not acknowledging that his kingdom and power came by God. Daniel reminded the king that he should not forget that it was the Lord who had placed him into service, not the king’s abilities or power:
“Your Majesty, you are the greatest of kings. The God of heaven has given you sovereignty, power, strength, and honor. He has made you the ruler over all the inhabited world and has put even the wild animals and birds under your control. You are the head of gold. “But after your kingdom comes to an end, another kingdom, inferior to yours, will rise to take your place.” ~Daniel 2:37-39 (NLT)

The Prophecy:

“You will be driven from human society, and you will live in the fields with the wild animals. You will eat grass like a cow, and you will be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses…” ~Daniel 4:25

The Fulfillment:

“But all these things did happen to King Nebuchadnezzar. Twelve months later he was taking a walk on the flat roof of the royal palace in Babylon. As he looked out across the city, he said, ‘Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor.’ “While these words were still in his mouth, a voice called down from heaven, ‘O King Nebuchadnezzar, this message is for you! You are no longer the ruler of this kingdom.” ~Daniel 4:28-31 (NLT)
Like Nebuchadnezzar, Trump failed to give God the Glory for his achievements, and he was driven from his office. Nebuchadnezzar learned the hard way: the Lord is God, we must give Him the Glory and not take it for ourselves.

The Lesson:

“After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him, ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’” ~Daniel 4:34-35

Nothing happens in this world that is not under the sovereignty of God

Rulers are appointed for the Lord’s own purposes and when they are given power, they must give God the glory for all their achievements. Donald Trump became president by the will of God, and He failed to tell the world that all his achievements were because the Great God of Heaven caused these things to happen through Him. Because of his pride, he lost his opportunity to serve the people of the United States for a second term.
As with Nebuchadnezzar, after his rule, a ruler came who was “inferior” to his kingdom, this is also part of God’s sovereignty. ~Daniel 2:38

A Different Donald Trump: God’s Sovereignty In Visible Form

When Cyrus learned from the prophet Daniel that God had chosen him to be the one who would free the Israelites from their captivity in Babylon and return them to their own land again, Cyrus was deeply humbled and did exactly what God had said.
Cyrus was described by God in the prophecies of Isaiah, chapters 44 and 45, one hundred and fifty years before he was born. The Lord worked through this pagan king to rebuild the city of Jerusalem and the Temple.
In every prophecy of the Bible, it is the Lord who controls the results. He tells us what will happen, and then directs each part of the prophecy until its final outcome. The people who participate in the particular events described by each prophecy are chosen by God for His own purpose.

When Israel failed to honor the Lord and keep His word, the Lord called Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, to fulfill His word. Though Nebuchadnezzar was a pagan king, God called him, “My servant.” It was the Lord’s plan to send Nebuchadnezzar to destroy Jerusalem and to take many of the Jews captive back to Babylon. They would remain in Babylon until the fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecy, for seventy years.

When the Persians conquered Babylon, God called Cyrus, the king of Persia, to be “His shepherd” and “His anointed.” King Cyrus was born in 590 B.C. Isaiah wrote his prophecy of Cyrus in chapter 45, in 740 B.C.

One hundred and fifty years before Cyrus was born, the Lord called him by name, in Isaiah 44:28 and 45:1. God said that Cyrus would release the captives who had been held in Babylon and allow them to return to Jerusalem, to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple. The Lord called forth these two kings to fulfill His prophetic word, though they were not His people nor had their nations served God.

Isaiah 44:28: Who says of Cyrus, “He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be built,’ And to the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’ ”

Isaiah 45:1: Thus says the LORD to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—To subdue nations before him And lose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut:

Jeremiah 27:6: And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

These prophecies are from God; therefore, He determines the outcome for each one. The Lord is reporting to us what will happen because He has seen these events before they occurred. More importantly, He has ordained each event to happen; therefore, no one is able to prevent them from taking place. In every Old Testament prophecy that Jesus fulfilled, it is clear that God was ordering all the events of history to cause His word to come to pass. This shows us that He not only knows what is going to happen, but He also causes these things to come into being by the power of His will.

Daniel 12:10 “…none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

One of the results of President Trump’s public acknowledgment of God, has been the massive turn of opinions in favor of him by people from all over the world. This morning we learned that the most serious of legal indictments against Trump, was dropped and the case dismissed. The Trump classified documents case was dismissed by Judge Aileen Cannon, not long after the attempted assassination attempt that took place on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Although the Presidential election is still four months away, it is almost certain the Donald Trump will be reelected as the 47th President of the United State. We pray that his acknowledgment of the Living God, continues throughout his term in office.
