After writing two articles today regarding the 14 points of the Nashville Statement, I visited a web site called: “The Daily Caller.” In this article, the author writes:
“The counter-manifesto, however, promotes homosexuality and transgender lifestyles as “fully blessed by God” and “without a need to conform to the heteronormative, patriarchal, binary sexuality and gender paradigm that Christianity has come to promote and embrace.”
The basis for this position is that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality or lesbianism as sins. I have been studying, writing, and teaching the Bible for 42 years. During this time I have not found not a single scripture or teaching that exists in the Hebrew or Greek scriptures that condones gay relationships. In fact, the Bible is quite specific in that same-sex relationships are an “abomination” to God. These relationships are condemned in the Old Testament and later reaffirmed by the New Testament. When we examine the text of Genesis where the two angels are accompanied by the LORD to Sodom and Gomorrah, we find that it was the pre-incarnate Jesus who issued the order to destroy these cities because of the sodomy that occurred there.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! —2 Timothy 3:1-5
The writer of the Daily Caller goes on to say that the Nashville Statement “calls for a complete reinterpretation of scripture in conformity with current popular opinion, as opposed mainstream Christian doctrine’s call for people to be conformed to Christ’s teaching.”
The final assault on God is the idea that now gay relationships are “holy” before God.
“We believe that same-sex relationships and marriages are as holy before God as heterosexual marriages,”
The gay community has published its own copy of the Bible , called “The Queen James Bible,” in which they have omitted or redefined the scriptures which condemn same-sex relationships.

The attendees of these new gay friendly churches often read their own copies of the scriptures which have been re written to make gay persons feel welcomed by God.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. —2 Timothy 4:3-4
One wonders how much longer it will be before Jesus returns to earth to put a stop to the perversion of His word and calling what is evil, good. Paul wrote to Timothy and said that in the last days perilous times would come where people would heap up for themselves, teachers who would tickle their ears with doctrine that pleased them. We have certainly arrive at these days.
